Rhubarb-Raspberry Crunch

Reviewed: May 4, 2006
This had great flavor, but turned out a bit runny. I suggest using a 9x9 pan, increasing the amount of 'crisp' and maybe thickening with a little more tapioca or corn starch. Will make again.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
This turned out dry and rather flavorless. Family ate it, but will keep looking for a better recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Homemade Granola

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
The cup of water threw me for a loop because I've never seen a recipe that calls for that much--but it made it clump better which is exactly what I was hoping for. Great, sweet flavor. I added dried cranberries and chopped almonds at the end and omitted the nutmeg. This will now be my go to recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Tuna Rice Puff

A lot of work for what it turned out to be. Okay in taste, a bit blah. Probably wont make again. Thanks.

Sun-Dried Tomato, Feta and Pine Nut Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
I cheated and added store bought croutons and used slivered almonds instead of pine nuts. This was a fabulous salad. Also added a balsamic vinaigrette. Yummy!

Easy Peach Crisp I

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
This was very good. I also cut back on the sugar on the fruit as others had suggested, added an additional small can of peaches, and instead of white sugar on top I sprinkled about 1/4 c. brown sugar to give it a bit of a 'crisp' rather than 'cobbler' appearance. Terrific!

Cheesy Sliced Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
YUM! I've been looking for a cheesy potato recipe for a long time. If you like sour cream, this is the one for you. My only suggestion is to add more cheese if you like cheese. Thanks for sharing!

Crab Rangoon III

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
These were very good, but I do agree the crab was a bit overpowering. Cut the crab in half and you have a good rangoon! These can also be baked at about 375. Flip, and they get nice and brown. Thanks for sharing!

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
This was really good. I took other's suggestions and rolled in egg and seasoned bread crumbs before. Also a bit of garlic salt is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2011
I'm not a fan of guacamole, but I REALLY liked this. I substituted lime juice out of a bottle and salt and garlic powder and it was still great. Thanks for sharing!!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
WAY too salty. The cheese doesn't really add much. If I were to make this again (which I've kindly been asked not to) I'd used 1/2 a package of onion soup mix and skip the cheese. On the up side, the left overs are good in a sandwich or in veggie soup.

Rhubarb Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
I took the advice of others and cut the sugar. Super yummy, super easy. I think I added about 4 cups of sugar to my double batch instead of 6, and it was great. Thanks for sharing!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Great flavor and makes a nice looking muffin. My one suggestion would be to turn the temp down to 350 or so. I'd bake mini muffins for 10-12 minutes and bigger muffins for 20-24 minutes. 400 seemed to get the tops done way before the center. Thanks for sharing!

Mango-Strawberry Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
Everybody enjoyed this. The balsamic vinegar balanced nicely with the sweet of the fruit and juices. This was also nice paired with grilled pork chops. I'd suggest eating it with cinnamon and sugar chips rather than tortilla chips.

Sour Cream Noodle Bake

Everybody liked this recipe. I altered it a bit by adding oregano and opting for mozzerella instead of cheddar. If you like this, you'll also like Husband's Delight. Thanks for sharing!

This was okay, nothing outstanding and certainly not like KFC. I'll keep it as a quick go to recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Authentic Chinese Egg Rolls (from a Chinese person)

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
These were very good. I omitted the pork, bamboo shoots and MSG, and used regular mushrooms instead of wood ear mushrooms, and they turned out great. I also made them ahead of time and fried them right before supper. Worked great. Thanks for sharing!

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2006
Maybe I did something wrong, but mine turned out dry and I couldn't taste the cheese or garlic much. Smelled great, but we were disappointed with the taste. I halved the recipe and had way too much topping in the end. Thanks for sharing. UPDATE: I tried this again and it was a hit. This time I covered with aluminum foil so it stayed moist. I'd suggest cutting back on the salt and substitute garlic powder though.
