White Bread For The Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2015
This is the best bread I have ever made. The texture is perfect. It is soft and spongy. It has great flavor. We had none leftover. I could probably make a loaf a day. It is also a very forgiving recipe. I put ingredients in different order, and if still came out perfect. I accidentally stopped my bread machine so I had to put the dough in a bread pan and bake it in the oven. Still a perfect loaf!

Sweet Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2014
This was my first attempt at making homemade rolls without my bread machine. They turned out perfect. They were a beautiful color and texture and just the right sweetness. I was able to use our homegrown sweet potatoes which made me feel great. I can't wait to make these again!

Lentil Soup

I loved this soup. It's a great dinner when you need a break from meat but still want something hearty. M girls did not like this, maybe it was the texture.

Pumpkin Crunch Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
This is yummy! I used two cans of pumpkin, 1 & 1/2 cups of sugar and a little maple syrup. I left out the nuts because some in my family don't like them.

Eat Michigan Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
This is good. I used cherry infused craisins. I wasn't sure about the maple syrup in the dressing but it was very good. It got rave reviews from my guests.

Famous No Coffee Pumpkin Latte

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
This was a nice warm treat for the whole family to enjoy. You definitely need to put it in the blender for a smoother texture. That is my only complaint. Presentation is everything so load up the Redi-Whip!

Country Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
This is the best way to fix a roast. When using the stovetop you can keep an eye on the the temperature and turn the meat. I used a smaller roast, but kept the same amount of flour and seasonings. It was very flavorful- even the potatoes and carrots had enough salt content. And with plenty of flour already in the pan, I didn't have to make a gravy- it already made it's own. Very good!

Cilantro Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
This is so delicious! I have made it a couple of times and ate it all! I love the cilantro taste. There are not too many chicken dishes that are good reheated, but this one is great! I always use Zataran's yellow rice.

Nanna's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
I love this recipe for so many reasons! I was looking for a banana bread recipe that called for oil so I could replace it with applesauce to make it healthier. I love processing it in the blender- it makes it so easy to mash the bananas and mix the ingredients. Yummy!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
This is a winner. It bakes for a long time, but other than that it takes very little preparation time. I used chicken leg quarters and brushed barbecue sauce on some of them at the end of the cooking time.

This was very delicious! We had no leftovers. I would definitely make this regularly if salmon wasn't so expensive. Oh to live in Alaska!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
These very very good and really easy to make. They reminded me of the ones they sell in the bakery of a local grocery store- that are always really expensive. Much better to make our own, with our own homegrown pumpkin.

These are such an easy thing to bring to a gathering. I was able to make them the day before and just grab my dish the day of the shower and go! They were very good and seemed to be liked by adults and kids.

This was a very tasty soup. My family always prefers chicken based soups over beef. I added alphabet noodles to make it more appealing to the kids.

Pierogi Casserole

I made this for a family dinner as a side dish and everyone loved it!- Well, at least all of the adults. The kids would prefer regular pierogies. Next time I will definitely put a layer of noodles on the bottom and then continue from there. Very good!

This was so easy, but had wonderful homemade flavor. I think any kind of bread would be good. I used just regular store-bought white bread. Just don't foreget it's in the oven!
