About this Cook
I am a mother of three beautiful girls. My husband and I love to spend time together as a family. My husband is a writer so we get to take a lot of little trips for him to write about. I work for a travel agent and I am also an independent consultant for Tastefully Simple (products which have greatly improved the flavors of my cooking). We have a large garden in the summer and love eating and sharing our produce. We are busy, but we regularly have meals at home.
My favorite things to cook
My family loves my homemade chicken noodle soup, but I have made it so many times I could make it in my sleep. I love to experiment with new recipes. The slow cooker is my best friend.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook for people who appreciate a good meal. We like to have camofires in our backyard and always make sure we have homemade caramel corn to pass around the fire.
My cooking triumphs
I have come a long way in my cooking. My hardest things to master were traditional dinners such as pot roast, Turkey and ham. I now have no problem with any of those, they are some of our best meals.
My cooking tragedies
You don't even want to know.

Cilantro Chicken and Rice
This is so delicious! I have made it a couple of times and ate it all! I love the cilantro taste. There are not too many chicken dishes that are good reheated, but this one is great! I always use Zataran's yellow rice.

Nanna's Banana Bread
I love this recipe for so many reasons! I was looking for a banana bread recipe that called for oil so I could replace it with applesauce to make it healthier. I love processing it in the blender- it makes it so easy to mash the bananas and mix the ingredients. Yummy!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
This is a winner. It bakes for a long time, but other than that it takes very little preparation time. I used chicken leg quarters and brushed barbecue sauce on some of them at the end of the cooking time.
