Banana Crumb Muffins

Mmmm.. I've loved banana muffins since I was a little kid and these are the best I've ever had. Moist and full of flavor, this recipe is a keeper!

I've been living/working in Sweden over the past year and some and I am starting a collection of Swedish recipes for when my Swedish boyfriend and I move to Canada. I figure a little Swedish cooking will help him feel more at home (he's never been to Canada). This recipe is alot simpler than many you find for Janssons Temptation, and suprisingly it tastes just as good as any you can have in Sweden. Thanks for sharing, this is a definate keeper!!

Death by Chocolate

Mmm.. I used a chocolate brownie mix and 2 pkgs of chocolate pudding. I used kahlua in place of the coffee and used Daim chocolate bars (like Skor). I didnt use a frozen whipped topping because it's not available where Im living so I whipped up cream and added a tad bit of sugar to it. Using cream that wasn't as sweet as store boughten whipped toppings actually worked perfectly as the dessert is already really really sweet!

Honey Baked Chicken II

The sauce was great. I used it with chicken thighs (will try chicken breasts next time though because Im a white meat fan). I added extra curry and doubled the sauce over all. After chicken was cooked, I put the drippings in a saucepan with water, a bit of flour and a bit of milk and made a thicker sauce which we served over couscous!! It was perfect!

Two Layer Greek Dip

Good Recipe! Although I should of listened to the recipe and not added the veggies until right before serving, because after sitting in the fridge for a couple hours the dip became quite runny. Will remember that for next time! I also used sour cream instead of plain yogurt only because I didnt have any plain yogurt on hand.

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

These were AMAZING! I didnt double the filling and topping as suggested and don't think I will ever try because they were sweet, and gooey and perfect after following the recipe as written. They were so delicious that my boyfriend finshed them off and had me make a second batch the following week!

Apple Pie I

I have used this twice now and both times it has turned out lovely. Using the advice of others I added between 2-4 TBsp of flour total between layers of apples and made a simple egg wash to brush the crust with.

Pie Crust III

I absoluely LOVE this recipe. I took the advice of others and added 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of salt to the flour and also mixed the oil and water until creamy before adding it to the flour. I found that following the recipe as is makes enough for one pie crust with a bit left over, so I make 1.5 of the recipe for 2 pie crusts. I have used this many many times and will continue to keep making it! Thanks!

Focaccia Bread

Loved this recipe! Was very simple and has turned out perfect everytime I have made it. We use it with dips and make a delicious toasted/grilled chicken sweet chilli sandwich with cooked slices of chicken breast, garlic butter, sweet chilli sauce, onion and red pepper. Will make again and again!!

Indian Chicken Curry II

We enjoyed this curry, but just like all the recipes I have tried before it, it tasted a bit bland. I am still searching for the perfect curry recipe, although I would make this again with a few minor adjustments. Thanks for the recipe!

Simple Mexican Rice

Good Recipe. I suggest cutting down on the cumin as it is almost too overwhelming in the overall flavor. I also added corn and green and red peppers to the casserole. Will make again!

Raspberry Sour Cream Pie

I must admit, I was a little nervous making this as it was my first time making a cream pie, but WOW, what a great recipe. I followed the directions exactly and it turned out beautifully! Took the pie with me when visiting friends and it was gone in minutes! The only change I did was to use almonds for the topping instead of walnuts.

Fried Rice I

Great, easy recipe. Tasted very similar to what you would get in a restaurant. I added fresh white mushrooms to the recipe, because I love mushrooms with rice. The only change I would make next time is to use only 1 or 2 eggs instead of 3.

Orange Pork

I tried this recipe with chicken instead of pork, because I had alot of chicken on hand. I used brown sugar and doubled the sauce as suggested but didn't double the soy. Despite that, I still found it a bit too salty and next time will try even less soy. I also added some minced garlic and grated ginger to the sauce, which gave it a nice flavor. I cut the chicken into strips and next time I would like to try dredging the pieces in flour as suggested already. Overall I thought it was just good, although my boyfriend thought it was one of the best he's had.

Aussie Chicken

One of the best chicken recipes I have ever made/tasted. I have used it for dinner parties and have had perfect reviews! I wouldn't change a thing to the recipe. We serve it with rice and a nice tossed salad and serve the extra sauce on the table with the meal.
