Good 100% Whole Wheat Bread

We have no breadmaker! Also, we have no powdered milk! We had to make some minor modifications! So with a splash of milk instead of the powdered variety, melted butter, and two hour-long rising sessions followed by 25 minutes at 350 degrees, this turned out perfectly. Very very simple and tasty!

Banana Pancakes I

Tasty and simple recipe. Subbed applesauce for oil and added a good dose of cinnamon and allspice... and chocolate chips, of course!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Oh. Wow. Ok I made some changes, but I think the integrity of the recipe is preserved: * used only 1/2 cup melted butter * subbed 1/2 cup cocoa for flour * added a dash of cinnamon The batter tastes like brownie mix, and the cookies are perfect. Seriously worthwhile.

Apple Oatmeal Cookies II

Yum! Used butter instead of margarine (only 1/4 cup), brown sugar instead of honey, more cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice, and I may have added a few chocolate chips as well. These expand nicely, so you can make 48 itty bitty ones that actually turn out pretty satisfying. I also used an extra apple. Really really moist.

Supremely infallible. You can't go wrong with this biscotti. We always add anise seeds instead of extract -- and cut down the baking time just a bit. Our favourite: adding grand marnier and orange zest with some dark chocolate.
