Pineapple Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
This is a wonderful pineapple pound cake! I did not have any problems with it. I did not have a tube pan, so I used more of a loaf pan. It is similar to what a friend used to make for us. I liked this version very much too. We froze the second loaf for later.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
Wow! What a neat idea to fill the cupcake with cookie dough! I only had to refrigerate the dough for 1 hour and they were still good. Be sure to only fill the muffin cups only 2/3 full. If you put too much batter, you'll end up with extra cookie dough.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Wow! This icing is great! It holds up very well in the humidity, although, I did add 1 egg white to a doubled recipe. I used it on my brother's birthday cake. It did not melt as most icings do and it didn't harden. Perfect! The cake had so many complements. I will be using this recipe again.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
These cookies are awesome! I like the texture of them. I used creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy. After making the criss-cross deign, I sprinkled sugar on them.

Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2009
Mmmmmm! What a good smoothie! I had it for breakfast today. I didn't have a whole cup of yogurt, so I used 1/2 cup of plain yogurt and 1/2 cup of milk. Even if I did have the full 1 cup of yogurt, I would recommend adding some milk to thin it a bit. I also peeled my bananas, wrapped them in saran wrap, then froze them overnight.

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
I didn't really think these would work, because I live in a humid climate, but when they did I was happily surprised! I followed the instructions accurately and left out the chocolate chips. Soon, I'm gonna try mailing some half way across the world! Biscotti is now my new favorite thing to bake!

Marshmallow Truffles

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
I melted the chocolate according to the package and it sort of just turned into powder, so I added a little water but that didn't really work either. Then, I stirred in some butter and turned the fire on low. It started to turn into more of a liquid and it worked. Didn't have pecans, so used walnuts. Also added Baker's(R) shredded coconut to some of them. Delicious!

Candy-Coated Milk Chocolate Pieces Cookies I

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
I made these fantastic cookies for my friend's going away party. They shouldn't be cooked very long, so that they are chewy. Like another reviewer said, they were better the next day.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
This peach cobbler is excellent! I had never made a pie before completely on my own, yet I think I did pretty well. I made it for my Mom on Mother's Day!

Fabulous Fruit Salad II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
This fruit salad is just fabulous! It was Mother's Day breakfast. Mom loved it! She asks for it all the time now! I changed this by using pineapple instead of strawberries, berry yogurt instead of vanilla, and no cinnamon.

Play Dough Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
These are not good! The dough did not feel like play dough- it just felt like normal dough, but oily. I tried baking them, and they wouldn't. So, I baked them much longer and they finally did something, but they were cracked everywhere. Also, the color was faded, probably because I used food coloring. They have no flavoring or taste at all. Three stars for the cute idea.

Apricot Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
I also added a half a cup of chopped walnuts to these muffins. Muffin cups weren't needed, because they didn't stick- they just fell out of the pan! They need lots of apricots to taste good.

I liked this! It tasted just like carrot cake. Instead of baby food, I used grated carrots. Is also a pretty healthy snack!

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
I have been looking for a recipe like this! This is THE BEST frosting I've ever made! It would just roll out and press onto the sugar cookies. Another reason I liked it, was because it HARDENED.

This is a terrific fudge that is both quick and easy! However, it was a little grainy. I will definitely have to make more next time!

Fondant Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This totally RUINED my sister's birthday cake! I was amazed that the golden syrup became white frosting after beating it, but after frosting the cake with it and putting it in the fridge for an hour, it slid off the cake and soaked into it. Very fortunately, we had a boxed cake and frosting in the pantry that saved our lives! I am scared to try this again now.
