Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
Turned out great! I made half a dozen, followed the recipe exactly. Just make sure you don't mix the wet ingredients and the dry ingredients too much. That's the key to making good muffins.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
Oh. My. God! This is beyond amazing!! It was by far the best roasted chicken I have ever eaten, and I can't believe I made it!! I didn't have celery on me, so I quartered an onion, and stuffed it inside. I used olive oil instead of margarine/butter as a more healthy choice, and it was superb. DEFINITELY making this again. I still can't believe how juicy this chicken was. And the best thing of all, it was SO easy to make. Believe me, if you haven't made this chicken yet, PLEASE DO!! :) Thanks for this great recipe.

Tasty Tuna Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
AMAZING!! And SO easy and fast to make! I didn't have any Alfredo sauce, so I made bechamel sauce (the quick kind, where I only add milk to this ready-made bechamel powder). It was super quick and easy. I added garlic powder, dried basil and oregano, and some salt and pepper to taste, along w/ the drained tuna. Gosh, couldn't believe something made this quick could taste this good!! If you're reading this, don't hesitate to make this recipe! Thanks Ruth! :)

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Two words to describe this recipe: EXCELLENT and EASY! This is a great recipe, and so versatile, you could add any fillings you like. I didn't have bacon, so I substituted with something similar to Pastrami (here in Egypt it's called "Basterma"), cooked it in some vegetable oil after cutting it up in small bits. I added chopped onion, like the recipe describes, and added shredded Parmesan cheese instead of the Swiss (didn't have Swiss on me). The batter mixture was super easy to assemble; most of the time was spent baking the quiche in the oven. I think next time I'll be trying it w/ some broccoli and cheese or something. But definitely, you should give this recipe a try. Thank you Myrite! :)

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
SO good. Probably the best chicken salad I ever had. Didn't have celery on me, so omitted it, but put in some celery salt. Substituted the dried cranberries for raisins, which was VERY good. Instead of pecans, I chopped up a mix of almonds and walnuts (mainly almonds though), and used red and green chili peppers instead of the green bell peppers, which I think is better regardless. I would use these ingredients again, b/c they make for an excellent salad. We ate the salad the following day, to allow flavours to blend. Will definitely make this again and again. :) Thank you Emma!

Seared Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
Added paprika, ginger powder, and garlic powder to the flour mix. Was awesome! But make sure you don't put too much lemon juice in the end coz your scallops will be a little soggy. Will definitely make this again!

Cioppino

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
This was SOOOOO darn good!!! We did a "mussels cioppino" version, and it was so delish. I didn't use all of that butter, for a healthier version; only used about 1-2 tbsp of butter and a little less than 1/4 cup vegetable oil. Instead of serving the cioppino w/ warm crusty bread, I made AR's Garlic Croutons, and sprinkled some ontop of the stew. Also, an extra addition was some grated fresh parmesan cheese ontop, and a little fresh parsley for garnish. Honestly, you will NOT regret making this stew. If I could give it more than a 5, I really really would!! Thank you Star Pooley! :)

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Okay, seriously, I was super impressed. This tasted like fish coming out of a restaurant! And it was unbelievably easy to make! Also, all of the ingredients are usually at hand, so it makes this recipe more than perfect. I actually didn't use tilapia fish, I used white basa fish fillets, but I think any fish fillet would work here. Don't hesitate to try this recipe out. If there were more than 5 stars, I would give it more! Thanks Phoebe for this excellent and easy recipe! :)

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
If I could rate this recipe for more than five stars, I would. This recipe is classy, elegant, and delicious. On top of all that, it's so easy to make. You would definitely impress guests with this one, just like I did. I made this exactly as the recipe stated, w/ the exception of leaving it in the oven for about 25 minutes instead of 20 (by mistake actually), but it still turned out to be scrumptious. Do not for a second hesitate to try this out. Thank you for this recipe!

Citrus-Basil Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
Loved this! I didn't measure the quantities exactly, but it turned out great. I think I might've increased the lemon juice and honey, probably about double the amount. Definitely would make this again! :)

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
The muffins were great, with the exception of the topping. I personally found it too sweet; I might've added too much brown sugar? Regardless, this recipe is a keeper and will bake again (probably w/o the topping)!

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
This is my first review on All Recipes. I get lazy, and I never bother to review. But this? Absolutely worth reviewing for! I substituted milk for the half-and-half, and I didn't add sherry. INCREDIBLY AWESOME! I definitely will make this again and again!

Excellent! Although I prefer it without the mozzarella cheese. I think next time I might try some parmesan cheese instead.

Cheddar Biscuit Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
I didn't have self-rising flour on me, so I substituted with all-purpose and salt and baking soda (didn't have baking powder). Apparently, that doesn't work b/c it was terrible. I'm going to give this recipe another try w/ either baking powder instead of the baking soda, or with self-rising flour. But for any of you out there thinking of using baking soda instead of the baking powder -- DONT!

Quick and Easy Mexican Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
It was an okay recipe. I have to be fair though, I didn't use Cheddar cheese for this, I used mozzarella, so I think that might've biased my review. Nonetheless, I don't think I'd give this recipe another go.
