Chocolate Fudge Pound Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
I made this for an auction and it went for $450.00. I used a wheat free, gluten free cake mix called Pamela's Luscious Chocolate Cake and Dr. Oetker Organics Chocolate Icing Mix I made it again for a MOP's Moms meeting and received rave reviews. This is the best chocolate pound cake recipe I've ever made that's NOT from scratch!

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

This was a yummy recipe and great change of pace. I substituted Hormel Real Bacon pieces for the bacon portion and they turned out well. Will make this again.

Hash Brown Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This is a classic. The only thing I prefer is using cheddar cheese. I also found the Kashi flake cereal makes a healthier topping - since this dish is so loaded with calories! lol

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
I used Costco's frozen mixed berry mix and it was just a little bit runny on the bottom but the flavors were excellent overall. I would just cut back a little on the orange juice next time. I also used baking stevia for 1/2 of the sugar and wheat flour for 1/2 of the flour required. Recommend both to make it healthier. I will definitely make this again!

this is the perfect french toast recipe....I only swap out the white sugar for the same quantity of agave syrup.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
I thought is would be a nod to artichoke dip but it wasn't anything close, bland and lacking flavor. I used 1/2 mayonnaise and 1/2 sour cream as was suggested in the reviews. I can't imagine it being any better with all mayonnaise though. I would not try this again unless I was to add more seasoning and was to puree the artichoke.

Oven Baked Zucchini Fries

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2012
These were a hit with my picky 7 yr old. I just sold them as "veggie sticks". I added some ground flax seed to the mix too for some extra fiber and used olive oil as another person had suggested in lieu of butter.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
I'm making it again for the 2nd time in two weeks tonight! I used Trader Joe's Pre-cooked brown rice brought to room temperature for an easy meal. Also cooked some diced onion with the carrots for extra veggies for my picky 7 yr old who doesn't notice them in rice :)

Chocolate Cream Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2012
I'll give it 2 starts for taste and no stars for final product. Not enough instruction info with this recipe after two failed attempts to know what went wrong and caused my "soupy" end result. Don't know if I cooked it long enough, I definitely let it cool before refrigeration. Very frustrating..I will not attempt this one again.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2012
I made a 6 serving size of this recipe to make 13 cupcakes for my son's 8th birthday. Used Pastry chef "ZZZORBA" suggestion and replaced 1/2 of the water for Buttermilk. You will need some of the boiling water to mix with the cocoa powder, let it cool then add your buttermilk. Half of the above recipe made about 13 cupcakes which I baked for about 15 minutes @ 350. We will be enjoying this recipe for many special events to come!

Thanksgiving Beets

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2012
Amazing...only thing I changed was no cloves since I'm not a fan of cloves. They were a hit with even the picky kids in our family and we are making them a second time tonight for dinner.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2013
My to stuffing recipe to bake outside the bird. Since I prefer my stuffing baked outside the bird and this one is meant to go "inside the bird", I increase broth to 3 to 3-1/2 cups and toss in 2-3 raw eggs to keep it moist & help bind it together. I swapped out the turkey liver for 1 smoked or baked chicken thigh diced up. Bake the stuffing mixture @ 350 degrees in a large baking dish for 30 minutes covered with foil then remove foil & cook for another 15 min. making top crispy & the bottom moist & de-lish!
