Engineer your food!

Smoked Corn on the cob

No lead up this time, just a simple thing to try with your smoker.
I dropped this in a recipe request the other day but figured I'd post it now.

Prep your smoker as per the normal.
Peel back the husks, remove the silk and soak the whole thing in ice water for an hour or two.
Brush the corn lightly with butter (garlic infused butter is better) & Sprinkle w/ salt & pepper to taste.
Wrap each cob in a thick strip of delicious bacon
Recover the corn w/ it's husk and tie at the top w/ a loose piece of husk.
Place on the smoker for 1.5hrs
Serve hot.  In theory you're supposed to discard the bacon.. but who the heck does that.

We just got a smoker, and I am always looking for new ideas. Thanks you for this one, it looks great, and we LOVE bacon(and anything wrapped in bacon, lol!

I love to smoke foods, so will try this. Have you ever tried tea-smoking? Really wonderful!
