Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
I made this last night and we were just in awe of this soup!!! The only things I did different were, because I was using frozen chicken, I sauteed my veggies and added the flour, etc., took that out and put aside. Then I put in my chicken into the chicken broth and boiled until done...added the veggies back in. I forgot the pepper too. It was still 5 stars! Next time I'm 4x ing the recipe and freezing 1/2 if they don't eat it all. :)

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
My family went nuts over this dish. I don't eat red meat, but it sure smelled great all day cooking!!! I did add more meat than was called for (about a 4lb. roast cut up). That still wasn't enough! Three guys devoured this in about 1/2 hour. Next time I will tripple the recipe so they can have some leftovers. I served it over wide egg noodles. My husband couldn't stop telling me how much he was enjoying this as he ate. I will keep this one as a regular...thank you!

Delicious Apple Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
This was refreshing. I used honey crisp apples because we LOVE these apples. I also used walnuts and added a little extra sugar and light cinnamon, and 1/2 raisins and dried cranberries. My husband said this is a keeper! I won't go back to my Mom's old apple salad recipe. Thanks!

White Chili with Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
This was my first attempt to make white chili as I am getting ready to enter a chili contest and it is one of the catagories. It turned out great. I did make some changes. I boiled chicken breasts in the chicken broth while I sauteed the onions and peppers in butter/oil. I added more cumin and a little more garlic than it called for. I also added 1 T dried parsley instead of fresh. I served with tortilla chips and a dollop of sour cream or shredded cheese, (I left it up to the person eatting it). All I had was mozzarella cheese, but next time it will be provalone. My husband liked it better than my traditional chili. Since I don't eat beef, that made me happy! I can eat it with him now. Thanks for a very good recipe!

Sugar Free Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
My husband and I gave up sugar, so it was great to have a treat. I don't use any artificial sweetners. I substituted "stevia" for the sweetner. The only fault I could find is that it was a little dry. I'm going to try to come up with a glaze topping or frosting with stevia next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Peanut Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2006
These are great! I use the new Skippy Peanut Butter that just came out without hydrogenated oil. It is just as good as the "bad" peanut butter! Everyone raved over these and I have to keep making them. Yummmmyyyy!!!

Cooky Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2006
Can't stop making these! Everyone is asking for more. I made them for our annual bake sale and everyone was coming back for the recipe. Since then I have made them and sold cookies at a swap meet...sold every one! I started adding 1/2 package semi sweet choc. chips. Great either way! Thanks!

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2006
These were a BIG HIT at our house. It turned ordinary hamburger (I use ground chuck), into "steak burgers" as my husband called them. I used 1 t. salt, a little more burger, and added a little worchestershire sauce. I'll never make the "old" hamburgers again!
