About this Cook
I love watching cooking shows, especially Masterchef!
My favorite things to cook
Mediterranean food, "steak and potatoes", soup, roast chicken, Middle Eastern food, burgers, sloppy Joes, brownies, cake Soup, middle eastern cuisine,Italian food buff and roast vegetable panini's
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roast chicken on Jewish holidays. Deviled eggs are a family favorite. Easy breakfasts on the go include peanut butter toast with sliced bananas and honey on top.
My cooking triumphs
I love Allrecipes for ideas. Although I basically freehand when I cook. I can't bake to save my life so I use the site for cake and pie recipes. Pumpkin cheesecake, rum fruit tart, pudding pies are all things that I found on here that people raved about when I brought to parties.
My cooking tragedies
Hard to say. I usually make a couple versions of a dish at a time due to my personal dietary restrictions. If something doesn't work in one dosh the backup usually does :) But my last disaster was a beautiful cornish hen paired with parsnips and red carrots. Everything tasted delicious. However the carrots "bled" onto the parsnips and the chicken in the roasting pan and looked sloppy on the plate. It was not for the faint of heart!

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
great! I saved some reserve stock and it came in handy when the cheese sauce was a bit thick. added some old world seasoning and it was perfect!

Sy's Challah
Having never made challah before I was looking for a well reviewed basic recipe. This was it! I did not need 24 servings so I reduced the recipe by about half. I used quick rise yeast and it still required more time than the recipe called for, but that could be me who knows. I also added 1/4 cup honey to make it sweet. It was amazing.

Bananas Foster Pudding
Amazing. Since it was for two people I halved the recipe. I used soymilk instead of cream (vegetarian) and used Cream sherry instead of banana liquor. Perfect. And I am not even a big fan of bananas!
