Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
I found 4 boullion cubes was too much. It was very salty. Next time I would start with 2 and then maybe a 3rd. Also should have taken advice of person who only used 1 cream cheese. Too much cream cheese takes away the flavor of the squash. I also baked the squash ahead of time as one person suggested which was a great idea. 375 for 45 minutes was perfect.

Instead of sprinkling with cinnamon, I added 2 tsp. cinnamon to the egg mixture and blended together with the bread. It is really good!

This was great. I left out the red onion and diced yellow onion and green pepper. I found I had to cook it about 30 minutes.

Mimi's Zucchini Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
Absolutely fantastic. I only had yellow squash so I used three cups yellow squash. I also used about 1 cup sliced onions. I put half the mixture in the pie pan and then put sliced tomatoes on top and then put the other half mixture with slice tomatoes on top. I then sprinkled with parmesan and cheddar cheese - soooo goood!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
This is fantastic!! I left out the sherry as I am not a fan. Also, I added mushrooms to the gravy. Besides the sliced onions, I also diced some onions and mixed in with the ground beef which added flavor.

These are great. They remind me of the apples from Cracker Barrell. I did add more cinnamon as I like the flavor.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
OMG. My husband does NOT like lasagna. However, a friend asked me to fix it for her. I found this recipe and HE LOVED IT. He kept saying how good it was. I did leave the water out of the sauce and it was perfect. I only used a tsp of salt. I also doubled the ricotta cheese mixture which I think is necessary to cover each layer. A HUGE SUCCESS!

Salmon Patties I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
This was a good starter recipe. I added a little dill, a heaping tablespoon mayo and some fresh garlic. I found if you refrigerate them for a while before frying they hold together better.

WOW! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. THE ONLY CHANGES I MADE WAS TO USE ONLY 1 CUP TOMATO JUICE AS I LIKE IT A LITTLE CREAMER AND I CHOPPED UP THE TOMATOES MORE. MY HUSBAND LOVED IT ALSO!

These turned out great! Can't understand the person who said they would not stay together as I had one big "pancake" in my pan. I had to cut it to get it apart.

Anne's Fabulous Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
In the past my husband would only eat fresh fish he caught. Well, I bought some salmon and made this recipe and he loved it. The only change is that I did not add the giner root - did not have it on hand but will probably not use it in the future either as it was great the way I made it.
