I love to cook, mostly influenced by my mother's great talents at it, and her international gourmet dinners taht make your mouth water! I'm also a very active and enthusiastic baker
My favorite things to cook
Mostly baked goods, such as french tortes, muffins, cookies, bars, cupcakes, cakes, pies, yu name it, I'm waiting with an apron. One of my favorites to make are Rocky Road Squares, fusgy brownies spread with melted marshmallows, chopped walnuts,a nd semi-sweet chocolate morsels.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving, my mother goes to the farm, and lugs a huge pumpkin home, and scoops out the stuff, and makes spiced pumpkin soup. The grand bowl? The pumpkin itself!
My cooking triumphs
On Christmas, I asked my mother what she wanted. She toom out my baking book, leafed through it, and pointed at Reine De Saba, the most delicious chocolatey and hazelnutty french torte covered in chocolate ganache. After two days of labor, she got it. She took one bite, and it is now her official favorite treat, and its her wish every Christmas, mother's day, birthday, or any occasion for a present. I was very proud! It was my first torte! Another is when I was making brownies, but I realized I was late for dinner with my family, so I hurriedly turned off the oven, so sad to have to ruin my brownies when they'd only baked ten minutes. When I cam back, tehy were perfectly baked by some miracle tehy ahd baked themselves!
My cooking tragedies
Once I made buttermilk biscuits, because I was craving them. When I tasted one, I spat it out! The buttermilk was bad, and my breakfast ruined!
