My cooking tragedies
When I first married, I asked my Mother-in law how to cook Smothered Okra. She told me to fry the Okra until all the roppiness was gone. It seemed that the more I cooked it, the more roppy it got so I finished it the way she told me. Well, it was a grand mess. So bad that I would not even eat it myself. My poor husband tried to eat it but when I turned my back, emptied it in the garbage.i have since mastered the art of cooking Okra several ways.
