SCOTCHY PEANUT BUTTER BARS

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
I need to explain the directions with more clarity. The creamed butter mixture will be lumpy when mixd properly, spoon it into the 9 by 13 pan, and then press down with your hands. When you pull the base mixture from the oven, that is when you start the corn syrup, sugar mixture. This mixture after adding the cornflakes will be thick, just spoon it over the base layer, then use the back of a spoon to level it. when this layer is cooled, make your frosting. hope that clears things up, it's a touchy recipe, but wonderfully worth the extra hassle.

Water Chestnuts Wrapped in Bacon

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
I've made these several times, I have rolled in sugar after marinating, next time I will try the brown sugar. This is an easy recipe and goes over very well even with the picky eaters!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
I followed the directions exactly as written. I am an experienced cook, and have made several batches of fudge in my lifetime. This one was the worst I have ever tasted. It is greasy, and the taste is not good.

Poppy Seed Dressing I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
excellent recipe! I am picky when it comes to dressing, I do not like the store bought kind. The only substitution I made was Hellmans mayo, the full fat variety...this is my new favorite dressing, thanks for sharing it!

Hot Cross Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I just made these and they are awesome! The orange frosting is perfect for this type of roll. I did find using a regular pastry bag worked the best for piping the crosses, as my frosting was too thick for the baggie. I also used chopped dried fruit in place of the raisins. I think the recipe is perfect, and definetly a keeper!
