Fruit Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
I used rainbow sherbet and it got rave reviews. I tried to soften the sherbet by putting it in the fridge for like 18 hours before i served the punch this made it easier to serve but not quite as many ice cream chunks as i wanted so maybe less time...

Kay's Shortbread

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
great i added the extra powered sugar and also some almond extract as recommended by others. I just formed my shortbread in the 9 in pan and baked it on a cookie sheet. To facilitate this process i placed a large piece of parchment paper in the 9 in pan, formed the dough then lifted it out, finessed the edges and baked. Really easy process and really easy clean up.

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I like this recipe using all chocolate and no cocoa powder. no need to use a water bath and stuff like other recipes call for. I had a hard time getting the cake to release from the pan so i am going to try grease/cocoa powdering it as before but also line the base with a piece of greased parchment paper.

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
Just wonderful! I didn't have any maple sugar so i just used regular sugar for the outside and upped the cinnamon and maple syrup in the batter. I used lard instead of margarine because that's what i had handy and the cookies were a glorious success.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
this was great, i wanted to eat the whole thing in one sitting :) The amount of rice suggested produced a little over three cups of rice, so i just doubled the recipe.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
wonderful! i used a combination of lamb and beef, it was quite good. I would have liked some more potatoes in the dish so i think next time i will try adding in very thinly sliced potatoes in the center, more like a lasagna preparation.

Mango Hawaiian Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I thought these were great cookies! I used a bag of dried mango/pineapple/papaya that i had left over from something else, in place of just the mango and i did not use dried cranberries. They were really good. I needed to cook them more about 16 min than 10 min but not a big deal. It takes time to wait for them to cool before you can take them off, so make sure you have time to finish them before an event.

Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
This was great. I used the combination of spices i had in my house and just threw stuff on the potatoes until it seemed like enough. I thought they were too sweet and not spicy enough. But i love the concept and it is a great base to play with this sweet and spicy combo.

Very Best Blueberry Cobbler!

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
This was a really great recipe and a crowd favorite at the latest gathering of my friends. I didn't use the cinnamon sugar topping, i wasn't sure how well cinnamon would mix with the blueberry taste. I used about 4 tablespoons of lemon juice for the juice of one lemon. I was surprised by how little sauce was in the blueberries when you baked them, pretty much just lemon juice and sugar coated berries, but the sauce from the cooked berries was wonderful!

Poppy Seed Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
This was a great recipe. easy to make and very tasty! I kept one bread and gave the other to a friend. The bread was much better about 5 hours after it cooled than right out of the oven. I will definitely make this one again.

White Chocolate Cranberry Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
I really like how many things one can do with this simple recipie. My BF and I really enjoyed them i have a sweet tooth and he doesn't so i just cut bigger bars for myself :). They stay fresh for a long time in the fridge [a few months]. I prefer the taste right out of the fridge anyway. overall just a stellar recipie. for storage i put them all in a big ziploc baggie last time, this time when i make them i will put them in a fold over baggie for me to take with me on the go.

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
I bought a jar of blueberries in light syrup the ingredients were blueberries, sugar, and citrus juice. This covered the first part of this recipe. I made the dough ahead of time and put it in the fridge and about halfway through dinner I emptied the jar of blueberries into the baking dish and dotted the top with the dough, couldn't be simpler, or easier I served it with vanilla ice cream for rave reviews and clean plates!
