Best Chicken Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
I really loved this recipe! Couple of changes.. I used bran flakes (more fiber), and after putting the chicken in the SC I sprinkled lowrys, onion powder, garlic powder, and italian season directly on the chicken.. then rolled in the flakes. Also went light on the butter... Chicken was SO SO moist and Good! Thanks so much for this GEM.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
I don't even like corn bread. I made this for my husband and when I tried it I ate two pieces. Super Recipe! Thank you so much! Let me add this:.... I use a cast iron skillet and I do everything called for in the large skillet then when it is all mixed instead of putting it in another pan I just put the whole skillet in the oven! One pan for the entire operation! LESS MESS!!

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
This recipe was awesome. Due to some early childhood experiences (soggy meatloaf I was made to eat... ick) I have never liked meatloaf. However, I went to my inlaws and my MIL made one that was great. SO I thought I would try my hand at it. I did everything the recipe called for and added basil, oregano, 2 cloves garlic, and Lowry's season salt to the meat. THIS RECIPE WAS KILLER. I made it in the Pampered Chef mini loaf pan so instead of one large loaf we had 4 smaller. My hubby ate one by himself! We can eat the rest tomorrow night or freeze it. Thank you so much this is a treasure!

Honey Nut Granola

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I make at least one batch of this per week. My husband just loves it in the morning. One thing we like to add is just a hint (one half tsp) of Almond extract. Yummy, thanks a bunch for this gem of a recipe.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
These were excellent. I made them for my Thursday morning playgroup. I made them then cut them and put them in a 10" round baking dish. Then put them in the refrigerator over night with a damp towel over them. In the morning I took them out of the frig. and let them raise. Then baked them when company arrived! Super thank you so much!!!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
Recipe was ok, not stellar, but worked in a pinch. Maybe something went wrong as I halfed the recipe to 6 servings instead of 12. Anywho, I will try again and see what happens.

Great recipe! Thanks for the gem. I didn't use butter I used Olive oil instead, but I didn't heat it to the point of smoking (it is bad for you). Only warmed it slightly.

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
This recipe completely impressed my inlaws (which is not easily done). My MIL is an extremely good cook and she even gave me compliments! I used half the recipe and made crescent rolls and with the other half of the dough I made cinnamon rolls for dessert. You can do both with this recipe!!!! Thanks for this diamond that will be a staple in our family!!

Marshmallow Delights

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
I really liked this recipe. I needed a quick dessert to make with only the ingrediants I had on hand. I didn't have large Marshmallows only small, so I used 10 instead of 1. Then I didn't have sugar only powdered sugar. Everything else was the same and my guests were completely impressed. Thank you so much for this gem!!

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
I really liked the flavor. It wasn't "too" much. I thought it was great. I also sprinkled garlic powder on before I grilled. I only used 1/4C butter and just eyed the garlic. We really liked it a bunch. Thanks for the keeper!!

I wasn't completely impressed, but my hubby really liked it. Since he is the one I try to please I give this recipe 4 stars. I think I wanted a quicker more creamy recipe. Thanks though!
