Hi there!! I am almost 30 and a sales rep covering 7 states. I am married but don't have children. My weeks consist of travel, so there is not a lot of time for cooking. I try to cook simple meals on the weekends since I wasn't really taught how to cook (my mother isn't a great cook, so we ate A LOT of take out growing up). My grandma was an excellent cook from scratch woman, so I am hoping that it is genetic.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake desserts. Cakes, cookies, cheesecakes are great. I haven't made a lot of pies, but I am excited to learn more about crusts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have alot of Southern cooking, so mostly deep fried and loaded with butter. As a result, most of my family has heart disease and high blood pressure. I would like find Southern recipes with more healthful ingredients. My husband's family is Italian and German, so I look forward to learning about those styles as well.
My cooking triumphs
I made spaghetti sauce all by myself and people actually commented that it was nice to have something not out of a can/jar and how good it was.
My cooking tragedies
I've had quite a few, but I think the worst was trying to make brownies with wheat flour and Splenda. It was just plain wrong.
