Hawaiian Millionaire Pie

this is an awesome and easy recipe that i have been using for a few years now and is always a special request at all the functions that i attend. One of the reviewers had mentioned it was very runny... i have had this problem to once before but figured out that the whip cream truly has to be completely thawed out. If it is frozen still at all, when you mix the ingredients, you will end up with what i fondly refer to as hawaiian soup! And no matter how long you keep it in the fridge at that point it will never firm up. so make sure that the whip cream is totally thawed out and you shouldn't have any problems!

Smothered Bacon Chicken

this was good and very easy to prepare. i also added sliced mushrooms to the bottom of the dish before chicken. like i said this was really good but there wasn't anything "wow" about it that i was hoping for. I will have to experiment with this one a little.

Chicken Marsala

was very good, however i felt like it needs something else. Maybe next time... and there will definately be a next time... i will either make it a cream sauce as suggested by other reviewers... or maybe add something as simple as a tblspoon of capers. over all i was impressed by the ease and the taste of this recipe. thank you for sharing!

Spiced Potatoes

These were really good, although i didn't use them as a side dish. With the reviews stating that they were really spicy, i followed the seasoning portion exactly , but i used regular potatoes. When they were done, i covered them in a layer of shredded chedder and smothered them with Chili and then another layer of cheese. With this combination it was really good. My hubby went back for seconds then finished mine. Thanks

Cabbage Rolls II

i am sure that somehow this was my fault, but mine did not turn out good. i think i may have overstuffed the cabbage leaves with too much meat mixture or something but they were not good. giving it a four due to it being all the things i love, and since i think i goofed it up. be careful with the stuffin of the meat! :)

Superfast Asparagus

Famous Pork Chops

excellent! these pork chops are melt in your mouth tender....i ust say though that a little less butter would work wonderfully, and i did follow others advice and uncovered the last 15 minutes and flipped them over once. thank you for a great easy recipe!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

okay , i don't want to offend anyone, but to give the recipe the review it deserves, i have to say , the first thing my husband said after he took the first bite was " thats good f'ing meatloaf!" It was really good. The only change i made was i used bbq sauce since i was out of steak sauce. i will be keeping this recipe around for a long time. thank you again for such a great recipe!

Country-Style Ribs

These were really good! I didn't have any allspice, so the flavor was a little less than i expected, but that my fault! they are definately the most tender ribs i have ever had. My husband and i loved them!

Grilled Yellow Squash

Really good! With the suggestion of another review, i also added Balsamic Vinegar to the garlic and oil mixture and then allowed the squash to soak in the mixture for a few minutes before putting them on the grill. I used the george Forman grill so it cut the cook time in half, only about 6-7 minutes total. ( no flipping needed! ) I will definately make this again. Loved it!

Garlic Spaghetti II

my husband and i loved this recipe, i did add about 1/2 tsp of italian seasoning a dash of balsamic vinegar and a can of stewed tomatoes (drained) just to add some chunk to it. We love chunky spagetti. It was a great recipe when the pantry is a lil empty.

Pork Chop and Cabbage Casserole

okay, this was very good. I used Cream of mushroom soup since it was what i had on hand and i salt and peppered the top cabbage layer before pouring the sauce. I used olive oil to brown the chops. I only had them in the pan for a couple minutes for each side so when they cooked in the casserole there would still be plenty of juice and they would not dry out. No need to cover the dish while baking. I also seasoned the chop with salt and pepper while browning. It was a very good recipe and my husband was very impressed.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

I used the exacts on this recipes except i also changed the temp to 400 and i only baked them for about 15 min on each side. My husband loved them and they seemed to be the perfect combo of soft and crisp.
