Sensational Sirloin Kabobs

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
This is a great marinade. I received many compliments on it. The soy sauce isn't too overpowering as it can be when it's the main ingredient. Tthis recipe is a definite winner!

Basil Shrimp

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
This is an awesome marinade. I marinaded for an hour and next time I probably will marinade a little longer for a bit more flavor but even at an hour there is plenty of taste. I didn't have any white pepper so I just used black pepper and it was fine. Other reviews stated that the marinade hardened in the fridge due to the butter and it did a bit but nothing that caused any problems. If nothing else you get more marinade on the shrimp due to the chunks. I highly recommend this recipe as it is simple and extremely tasty!

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
This is a great marinade. The only changes I made were to leave out the cayenne as hubby isn't a big spicy fan. I made this for my sons 2nd b-day party and I did kabobs with steak, shrimp, and chicken and this was a crowd pleaser. Super easy to make and I let it marinade overnight and it has a great flavor. I was worried that the chili powder might make it too spicy but it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Cowboy Skillet Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2007
This is a very tasty dish. Very simple to make and my husband especially liked the corn bread topping. The bell peppers definitely complimented the other flavors as they are sweet. I will definitely make this a staple.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
This is a very easy chili to make and the flavor is great. My husband isn't a fan of spicy so you may want to cut out the cayene pepper if you want a milder chili. This has become my staple chili recipe.

Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
I didn't care for the flavor of this. It was rather bland almost flour tasting and the orange flavor wasn't sweet but more bitter due to the marmalade. Overall, not too crazy about it. Also the appearance was not appealing. It looked like a beige paste with lumps of ckicken.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
This was my first time cooking a turkey and it turned out fantastic! Everyone raved about it and my mom who has been cooking turkeys for 25 yrs. said it was the best turkey she had ever tasted. The meat was really moist and had a great flavor. You didn't even need the gravy to make it more flavorful. The only hitch would could have been my oven was that it took about an hour more to cook than I anticipated. I allotted 5 hrs. but it took about 6. I will definitely be making this my staple turkey recipe.

Cranberry Sauce II

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
I doubled the recipe and cooked on the stove so maybe that was the problem, but mine came out very runny. It didn't gel the way you think cranberry sauce would. I even put it in the freezer for a bit and overnight in the fridge and it still was runny.
