Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
Pretty good and the only changes I made was use only 1/2 TBS brown sugar, added 1 tsp of white vinegar and used 1/2 a fresh onion instead of the powder.

Nice with changes suggested by others: I used 4 cucumbers and 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/4 water, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 TBS of fresh dill. Nice and cool.

Dill, Feta and Garlic Cream Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
This was good with some changes. First of all, the feta makes the spread very salty and as it was also extremely thick, I added sour cream into the mix to reduce the saltiness and give it more of the consistency I was looking for. Will make this again with changes. Great taste.

German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
This was very good but I do have a couple suggestions. First, don't use all the dressing as it is very strong and will completely overpower the potatoes. Second, add about 3/4 tsp of ground mustard seed to the dressing.

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
This was really just not good! With the first batch, when the dough started to brown, the butterscoth bits were burned. With the second batch, the bits were fine but the dough was undercooked. Will not make this again.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
These are fantastic cookies. Loved them. Do know that 1 tsp flattened makes a large cookie as they do spread quite a bit. I like my cookies slightly crispy so I baked them at 325F for about 15 minutes and they came out perfect! Thanks.

Candi's Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
Very good cookies. Will try with a little mashed bananas next time. Know that these cookies do not spread so flatten them a bit before baking or you end up with big cookie mounds!

Spring Strawberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
Great taste but definitely reduce oil by 1/2 and use olive oil instead of vegetable. Also know that this is not a salad that keeps if you mix it with the dressing as the next day the strawberries taste terrible since they've marinated.

Maple Nut Date Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
Pretty good cookie. A little mealy so I'll try this again using a combination of quick cooking oats and flour rather than just the flour. I didn't make the frosting and just added a little more maple syrup to the batter as I didn't have the time to frost. Thanks for the recipe.

It was good but reduce the mayo to 1/4 cup and salt to 1 tsp. Added 1/2 cup peas and some chopped ham and 1 red onion. Also used canned diced tomatoes to save time. turned out great.

These were Ok. Definiely had better (recipe from site that calls for cocoa powder). Had to add more butter as mixture was too crumbly.

Delicious. Followed others advice and cut pouches, mixed garlic into cheese mixture (used sun dried tomato and basil feta), reduced liquid amount by 1/2 and used chicken broth instead. Thanks!

Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies II

Fantastic cookies! The only thing I did differently was use almond extract instead of coconut and droped tsp instead of Tbsp so they were bite size. They melt in your mouth and you just can't stop at one!
