Very close to Lofthouse cookies. These are excellent and EASY. I cooked 13 minutes in my oven, which is correctly calibrated.

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
Made these exactly per recipe. Baked some plain, some with mini chocolate chips some with Butterscotch chips and finally others with butterscotch chips with crushed almonds. The ones with butterscotch and almonds was by far the best. Baed at 325 (convection oven) for 12 minutes and they were perfect. Definitely will make again and looking forward to using orange cake mix per another review.

Silver's Savory Chicken and Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Very good! I melted 1/2 lb Velvetta in the broth/milk (skipped provolone cheese and only put chedder on the top before baking) and we ALL loved it. So versatile! Also, added about 1/2 cup peas to broccoli. I used seasoned salt instead of regular salt and that added a variety of flavors.

Sweet Potato Pie IV

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
Wow, no more plain old pumpkin pie for us. I used pancake syrup instead of corn syrup and maple flavoring (didn't have those items). Only had 1/2 cup pecans on hand and no oranges and it still turned out excellent. Definite keeper....and EASY. I did precook my pie shell a few minutes (be sure to poke lots of holes in it). Don't even think about omitting the extremely simple topping.

Wyoming Cowboy Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
Well, I can certainly see what all the hullabaloo is about!! These are great. Used chopped mixed nuts (to get rid of them) in place of pecans and it was great. Also, 1 cup of each sugar. Cooked 11 minutes at 325 in convection oven and they are perfect.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
We really enjoyed having a casserole without the bread and canned soup. I used 1lb sausage instead of bacon, but will try bacon next time. I also added about 1 tsp Cavender's seasoning. The mixture seemed a little dry before baking so be sure to NOT omit the cottage cheese. It was not dry after baking. This fed 4 adults and leftovers for 2 more. So I agree with previous reviews, it will not serve 12 unless it is a very small serving.

Texas Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
Very good except I used 3 lbs potatoes not 5. Seems like it would have been very dry with all 5 lbs. Also, per other reviewers, used 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream. I was afraid it would be too salty with the ranch dressing mix and bacon, but it was not. Next time I'll use a little less potato. (I added the dressing while the potatoes were still warm so maybe they absorbed more dressing than cold ones would have.)

5 Stars because it is easy, very good and versatile. I used: BC Butter Pecan cake mix 1 cup walnuts 2 eggs 2 T oil 1 T vanilla 1/4 cup leftover cinn/brn sugar mixture. Cooked 11 minutes @ 350 on parchment paper and they are a little crispy on the bottom and moist inside.

Pecan Sandies

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2014
Outstanding! As others recommended I used 1/2 white & 1/2 brown sugars. Doubled vanilla & 3 cups pecans. Only baked 8-9 minutes in my oven. Didn't bother rolling in powdered sugar. Much better than Keebler Pecan Sandies!!

Frosty Freezer Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
This was a hit after out 4th of July dinner. I used strawberry sorbet and all of the 8oz container of Cool Whip. Fit perfectly in a 10" graham crust. Can't wait to try other flavors. Very creamy, very easy and quick to make. Don't even think about omitting the marshmallow creme!

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
Good method for serving red potatoes. Not sweet as you would expect. I added about 50% more butter and put salt and pepper to the top of the prepared dish, not in the ingredients.
