Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
These were without a doubt, some of the best mashed potatoes we have ever had. I made them for Thanksgiving and not one bit was left over. Nothing but rave reviews.

Baked Seafood Au Gratin

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2012
Seafood part of recipe was great, but the sauce tasted and looked like wallpaper paste, very bland. Too much flour in roux. If I made this again, I would cut the flour for the roux down to a couple of tablespoons, NOT 1/2 cup! Could not taste the Worcestershire sauce or the hot sauce at all.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2012
I made this for a pot luck serving about 80 people, and there was absolutely nothing left. I cooked my ribs differently, but I made the sauce according to the recipe. I had some extra suace left I put into a dish for ladeling on the ribs. The ribs and all of the sauce were gone in less than 10 minutes! Outrageously good.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
Yum, yum and yum! This was outstanding. I cut off the fat and made the corned beef with two bottles of Guiness. This was the tastiest and moistest corned beef I've made. A definite "keeper" recipe.

Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
I made this for St. Patrick's Day dinner. My husband wasn't so sure about this and after he tasted it, he said it was a "keeper". The only chnage I made was I sauteed the sliced cabbage and some of the leeks in bacon grease for flavor. I also used my hand held blender to blend the leeks and milk together. I will definitely be making this again SOON!.

Creamy Chipotle Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
Outstanding! I did cut back on the amount of chilies as they quite large. The sauce turned into a nice gravy served over mashed potatoes. Husband loved it.

Mushroom Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
I made two changes to this recipe. After browning the pork I put it in a crockpot, then sauteed some sliced onions with the mushrooms and seasonings and put on that top of the pork. It was outstanding! This recipe is a keeper.

New Orleans Corn Bisque with Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
Neither my husband or I cared for the sausage in the soup, the consistency and taste was not very good. I think if I would have fried it with the onions it might have turned out better. I did not cook the potaotes ahead of time, I added them with the sausage and corn. Other than the sausage, the soup had a good flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This was outstanding! I had to make one change as I did not have dry Italian dressing mix. I sprinkled dry Italian seasoning on the chicken instead, everything else was the same. My husband and I thought it was wonderful. I think I will make this for an upcoming potluck.

Great recipe. I used mayo for the creamy salad dressing. I also added some parmesean cheese, granulated garlic and rice wine vinegar for the dressing. Yummy!
