Best Ever Chewy Chocolate Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
What a disappointment. These were simply chocolate chip cookies with a bit of Hershey's syrup. They weren't bad, but they were nothing to shout about. Won't make these again.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2005
Amazing!! I followed a number of suggestions posted by other reviewers: increased peanut butter to 1 1/2 cups, increased baking soda to 2 1/2 tsp, decreased salt to 1/2 tsp, increased oats to 2 cups and added 1 tsp vanilla. These are FABULOUS and my coworkers couldn't get enough! This is definitely a do again recipe!

Sour Cream Burgers

WOW! This was totally awesome! I can't believe how delicious these were, prepared exactly as called for in the recipe, and used potato roll buns. We used a Foreman Grill too, and these come out PERFECT when you evenly divide the meat out to make 8 patties and cook for 5 minutes. We will definitely make these often in the future!

Slow Cooker London Broil

I just didn't love this one. It was fine, but not something I'd make again. There are a number of great slow cooker recipes out there that I'd make before I'd ever consider doing this one again.

Cowboy Skillet Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2005
I'm re-reviewing this one - gave it 4 stars last time, but this time, 5 stars. Instead of chopping onion and peppers, all I did was prepare the ground meat (I used turkey) according to the Taco Seasoning packet, added a can of rinsed pinto beans and a can of baked beans. Added a can of corn and a can of diced green chiles to the cornbread mix. SOOOO much easier than the original recipe calls for, and I think that the flavor of the meat was much tastier when prepared according to the packet directions rather than how the recipe called for. We'll DEFINITELY make it this way again, for sure!

Hot Lips Chicken

Yummy! I substituted Light (or Wow) Doritos, and reduced fat cheddar cheese. Instead of 3 tomatoes, used 2 plus one can of Rotel tomatoes as other reviews suggested. Would layer the cheese throughout the casserole next time, though. Very delicious and will definitely do again!

Very, Very Good! What a tasty, simple dish. I also added some crushed red pepper like some of the previous reviews suggested and it was delicious. Even better the next day!

Loved this! You can't get easy, quick and tasty all in one in a lot of recipes, but this is it! Simple yet delicious - we will definitely have again!

A very simple, tasty dish. I omitted the mozzarella on top at the end, and my family sprinkled parmesan cheese on their own instead. Will definitely make this again!

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
Yummy! This is the best pumpkin bread I've made yet. The only change I made was to increase the pumpkin, and the only reason I did that is because the large can of pumpkin yields 3 1/2 cups - I couldn't see wasting that measly 1/2 cup. These breads turned out so moist and delicious that I'm giving mini loaves out for the holidays! Definitely a recipe that will be made again and again.

Excellent! I added 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp vanilla, as other reviews suggested and this turned out wonderful! Moist and tasty, with just enough sweetness.

Richard's Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2004
I have to say I was pretty disappointed after reading some of the rave reviews here. I really feel like I missed something, because while the onion and mushroom sauce was excellent, I don't think the flavor was imparted on the chicken itself - my husband and I really thought that the chicken was pretty bland. While I would stir fry up the sauce and serve as a sauteed mushroom side dish, I wouldn't make the chicken again. Not enough flavor.

Chicken and Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2002
This was just great - a simple yet tasty dish that the whole family enjoyed. Because there are so few ingredients, I was expecting a somewhat bland meal, but the combination of cilantro and lime juice really eliminated the need for any other spices. I used quite a bit more garlic than the recipe called for (we're garlic-aholics!), and used pre-cut chicken strips for a super quick meal. Definitely a meal we'll have again and again!

Chipotle Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2001
This was SO hot we couldn't even eat it!! I will try this recipe again, because I THINK it would have been pretty tasty - I love hot and spicy food, especially chipotle anything, but this was just too hot to enjoy. I suggest reducing the amount of peppers by A LOT!!! I will try making with 2-3 tablespoons of peppers (the average amount I've seen called for in recipes using chipotle peppers) and I bet it will be wonderful.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

This was really tasty, but I thought it was really watery. I like my chili chunky and thick, and this was almost like chili soup! I will make this again - its a great dish - but will reduce the amount of broth added.

Broiled Herb Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2001
I originally looked at this recipe and thought "Ugh! Way too much fat", but you can reduce the fat substantially without sacrificing flavor. Simply take 2 TBSP butter, add the garlic and seasonings and place in microwave until butter is melted, then stir. This "cooks" the seasonings into the butter. Brush mixture onto chicken with basting brush, brush again when chicken is turned over. A tasty recipe made more health friendly!
