Elegant Turkey Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
one of the best stuffing recipes we've ever had. we used all our pecans for pie, so we chopped up some hazelnuts and added some sunflower nuts for the stuffing, and it still came out great. An excellent stuffing for the orange glazed turkey we had this year.

Butternut Squash Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
This was pretty good. I did make some changes though. I put the goat cheese in the filling and used parmesan for the sauce, I also chopped up the spinach and mixed it in with the filling. Next time I make this I'll probably make a lower fat version by not using as much butter, and using something other than cream, probably low fat or skim milk.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
I don't know if it's something we did, or if others have the same problem, but the top layer fell apart after we inverted it. It was really good though, and we'll definitely make it again, just don't know if we'll try 2 layers next time or not.

Raspberry Kielbasa over Cheese Grits

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
We just had this for breakfast today, and thought it was really good. I think I'll put more cheese and mushroom in next time though.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
very quick, very easy, very tasty. Only thing I do different is make my own sauce with crushed tomatoes and whatever herbs I feel like putting in (usually 2-3 cloves fresh minced garlic, fennel seed, oregano, basil, and parsley).

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
I only make the Fry Bread part of the recipe, and use whatever my wife and I feel like for the taco part of it. I've been looking for a Fry Bread recipe and this fits very well.

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
I cut out the Serrano and Habanero peppers and added more Wasabi to match our (my wife and I) tastes. I like to put it all in a slow cooker for about 6 hrs. on low. Since ground bison is readily available around here at pretty much the same price as beef, we use it instead, it makes it less greasy. I also like to drain and rinse the beans when I make this. We've made this recipe quite a few times since finding it and it's great each time.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
Very tasty, but the "crisp" part of the dessert - the topping, could have been a little crispier. Otherwise, very yummy - especially warm with vanilla ice cream.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Excellent recipe, all I need is a cast iron skillet to bake it in and it would be just like my grandmother's cornbread. Only thing I change is I use regular milk cause I don't like buttermilk.

Cindy's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
my wife and I made this for Thanksgiving and it turned out great. As many others have sugested we let the eggs and Ice Cream reach room temperature before making it, and covered the crust with foil. This is definitely a keeper.
