Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2014
This is it! The most flavorful slow cooker pulled pork recipe I have ever made or tasted. Please if you are debating between this and the rootbeer one, make this. I have made both and the other pales in comparison. I followed this recipe exactly, except used a 3lb loin roast with the fat trimmed off. Cooked high for 5 hours and kept the crockpot on warm for the rest of the day. About an hour before serving I shredded it up and threw it back in to soak up more flavor. Toasted onion rolls and topped the pork with coleslaw. Perfection! It does make a lot though so I am freezing the leftovers for another meal later this month.

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
Amazing! Will never go back to store bought again. I used California chili powder and slightly more cumin than called for.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
Delicious. The only changes I made were to not cook through the chicken before simmering as I worried about it drying out, adding potatoes and carrots, and I probably dumped in double the curry and about a tablespoon of pepper flakes.

Popped Cherry

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This drink is wonderfully refreshing. You really don't get too much of a cherry taste but I do think the cherry juice adds a good sweetness. I used Vanilla Grey Goose and it tasted similar to a 50/50 bar. Great! Obviously not for those who dislike sweet drinks.

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
I love this recipe. This is my "Don't want to cook" dinner. Perfect as is, but for my personal preference, I sautee garlic and onion, add frozen peas, and also add a little milk. As with any recipe, we all have different tastes. My seasoning includes salt, pepper and garlic powder (obviously I love garlic). The fried onion on top makes this recipe.

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
This is a great soup recipe. It really does taste like the minestroni soup they used to serve at my favorite Italian restaraunt. I did add the red wine, and I feel it adds a depth that you cannot get with white wine. I also used all the tomato sauce plus one can of drained diced tomatoes. Next time I will add the entire bag of spinach. I know it was said before, but this makes a huge amount of soup. Do not cut down the recipe though, freeze half for later. Delicious. Thank you for posting.

Ruby Drive Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
This recipes is insanely good. This is a departure from the regular sweet Sloppy Joe mix. I think the most important ingredient is the salsa, so make sure you buy an extra chunky salsa with a flavor you love. Mine had roasted corn and black beans inside and it made our sandwiches delicious. Thank you so much for such a great recipe.

Peanut Butter Apple Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
Great recipe for kids. However, the peanut butter flavor is very mild. Next time I will use a little more peanut butter and a little less brown sugar. I also added a little more milk as I like my dips creamier. Just add a little at time time until you get the right consistancy. This dip goes a long way, there is enough for way more apples than stated. Thank you for a new way to get my son to eat healthier snacks.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
The best cream cheese frosting I have come across. As others have stated, this is not overly sweet. Ideal for carrot or spice cakes. If super sweet frosting is more to your liking, just adjust the amount of sugar added. Thank you for a great recipe!

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
By far the best and most surprising dish i have made from this site. It's amazing how much the squash tastes like noodles, in fact i prefered it. It was very nice to not feel guilty for eating pasta. I used 2 garlic cloves and left out the olives because I had none in the house. I'm going to make this for my squash hating boyfriend next weekend.

Whiskey Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2006
I made this a couple months ago and just haven't gotten around to rating it. I thought the flavors were really unique and amazing. The flavor is really strong though so it's one of those recipes you'll either love or hate. Didn't have bacon and was still good without it.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
Great. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that I substituted the tomato juice for sauce and sauce for diced tomatoes. I added a little more chili powder and cayenne to make it spicier, and a little less celery. It really does taste like Wendy's chili which is great since I'm in Japan now and hardley ever get to have the real thing.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
I never thought I liked sloppy joes until I tried this recipe. Great taste and easy. My 18 month old son devoured this and he usually won't eat meat. The sweetness must have tricked him. A great recipe for kids.

Without a doubt, the best chocolate cake I've made. I love the texture and density of it. I added some almond extract and it tasted great.

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2006
This recipe was good, however, it's not the best I've had. The spice and garlic were very apparent and wouldn't go well on a plain cheeseburger with ketchup. This burger is meant for something with swiss cheese and sauteed onions and mushrooms.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2006
These brownies are so easy and delicious. They are really fudgy and moist though, so if you like cakier brownies, you might want to skip this recipe. I didn't use the frosting and after tasting these brownies, would not use it in the future. They ar every rich and I think the frosting would have been overkill.

Farm Macaroons

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2006
The absolute best cookie I have ever eaten. I can not believe how easy something so amazingly delicious was to make. I was worried about whipping the egg whites so I did my research and made sure I didn't use my usual plastic bowl and instead used a glass one. They were beautiful and tasted like the ones my mom used to bring home from the bakery when I was a kid. If you like macaroons, TRY THIS RECIPE.

Marshmallow Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2006
easy and delicious. i used pam instead of butter to melt the marshallows and used smart pop microwave popcorn with light butter and salt. i thought the saltimess of that popcorn and the sweetness of the marshallows offset each other perfectly. a healthy snack when craving sweet.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
This is a great and easy recipe. It took a little time for the sauce to thicken, but it turned out to be the perfect texture. Like others said, it was too salty. Next time I'll use low sodium soy sauce.
