Sweet and Silky Strawberry Sorbet

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
Too sweet for my taste. My strawberries probably could have been riper. My husband thought it tasted like frozen strawberry smoothie. It just wasn't that special.

Apple Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
I've made this several times and it is delicious! It doesn't keep, even over night, but that's usually not a problem because it gets gobbled up. I've also substituted fat free mayo and reduced the amount of sugar but it is best with the original recipe.

Glazed Orange Spice Cookies

This cookie got raves from my family and friends. The orange flavor, crispy/chewy texture, and tangy frosting make it a great addition to my repertoire.

Hot Cross Buns II

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
I used whole wheat pastry flour and the bun itself turned out tender and flavorful. I had trouble with the topping. The dough was difficult to roll out. We ended up rolling each piece by hand but the crosses mostly cracked and fell off. I will make this again but use frosting or some of the dough for the crosses.

PHILADELPHIA Apple Crumble

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
This was a tasty dessert that is very good with ice cream. It is super easy but got a little bit soggy after it cooled down. Be sure to soften the cream cheese completely before you mix it with the Vanilla Wafers.

Creamy Spinach Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
This is a keeper! I made it for lunch on a rainy day and now I'm making it for a dinner party tonight. Delicious! I substituted fat free half and half to reduce the fat content.

I have made this recipe several times for birthdays. It always gets rave reviews. I usually make only 2 layers and frost it with cream cheese frosting. Wonderful and original!

Almond Maple Granola

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
This is great granola. I've made it countless times. It's great with pecans substituted for the slivered almonds. My mom makes it without any sugar or syrup at all and adds extra dried fruit with the raisins. She cooks it an extra half hour to make it nice and crunchy.

Donna's Cheesy Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
This is my favorite quiche recipe. I've made it several times making slight changes according to what was in the 'fridge. I used fat free half and half with great results. I even left out the cheese and it still tasted great!

Chocolate Chip Icebox Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
I had a hard time with this recipe. First, the dough wouldn't hold together very well. When I tried to slice it, it just crumbled. I made it into balls and cooked it but the cookies didn't brown evenly. Oh the plus side, the dough was delicious raw!

I have used this recipe several times. I substituted 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and omitted the sugar and used it for quiche. Everyone loved the nutty flavor and texture. Super easy!

Eggless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
These are wonderful! I loved making them with my 2 year old daughter. The fact that there are no eggs made me more comfortable when she (inevitably) at the dough. The cookies did puff up and expand a bit- my first batch ran into each other a little.
