Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2015
Ok! I haven't read all the reviews but my two cents is that the recipes makes far more than 4 servings. It's more like 6 to 8 servings. So, for more people I just double the dressing ingredients and quadruple the spinach, strawberries, and almonds. Love this salad ingredients and the taste is marvelous!

Vegetarian Stuffing

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2013
Having a vegetarian step-son, I like to make as many dishes that he can enjoy as well at large family/friend meals. I have a mushroom hater also so substituted cream of celery soup and did add sauted onion and celery. Left out the wild rice (but may add this in when I make it again). I did add the cranberries, pecans, and apple. I sprayed a 3 qt. baking dish instead of using foil. This was exceptional. My ste-son enjoyed it but our company raved. Brian and I found it just as good, if not better, the next day. It's a keeper!!!

Blueberry Party Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
Yummy! I used the ingredients just as they were but made sure the cream cheese mixture was cooled and the jello was firm before adding the cream chesse mixture. Also made sure the cream cheese mixture was firm before adding the blueberry jello mixture. Served this at a party where a pastry chef friend was and she went back for seconds. I took that as a great compliment. Others also told me how pretty and good this recipe is. Yes, this is a keeper.

Butternut Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
A wonderful dish. I used the pecans and only the brown sugar. Followed the rest the way is was suggested. I wasn't wild about the brown color (I love the bright orange color of squash). Took it to a pot luck where some people thought it was a pecan pie and others were not sure but they really liked it. So did I and my husband. I'll make this again.

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
What a great recipe! The only change I made was to use 2 cups of blueberries (I love blueberries) and leave out the pineapple. Moist, OMG!!! Loved the idea of the coconut on the bundt pan. I'll make this many times and will try it with the pineapple. Great to use for a tropical theme party or just a summer dinner. Yumm!!!

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
I actually forgot to add the Swiss Cheese and this came out wonderfully. It was moist and light. I made it the day before, under cooked it, by 5 min. When heating it the next day I used a 350 degree oven for 30 min. Next time I'll make two.

Flourless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
Wonderful. I made this for a Valentine Party. It traveled well. Great for those with gluten allergies. I sifted powdered sugar on top then some red sprinkels on the powdered sugar. I also used all chocolate and not the cocoa powder as well as the tip for using wax paper on the bottom of the cake tin as well as using cocoa powder instead of flour. Great suggestions and wonderful tasting cake. I will make this again.

Cupcake Graveyard

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
This was a fun and tasty idea. I did change it to brownies which made it look more realistic. I made two packages on TJ's truffle brownie mix; spread it on a large cookie sheet. Before cutting I turned the cookie sheet brownie out onto a white cutting board, sifted confectioner’s sugar on top & then sprinkled green sprinkles on top of confectioners’ sugar. Decorated the graham crackers as recommended. Added fake spiders & small skeletons to the graveyard.
