Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2002
This is a DEFINITE keeper. So delicious and wonderful texture. It is a litte sweet (and I have a sweet tooth). I didn't even use the full amount of brown sugar. I took a touch out. So some of you may want to cut the brown sugar in half. I really enjoyed the flavor of this recipe. The use of ginger is unique, but it's not an ingredient you can readily identify. I think that maybe using the saltine crackers adds a special flavor that you can't get with the use of plain bread crumbs. My husband LOVED this recipe and I'm pretty sure we'll be making it again. Thank you.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2002
This recipes was absolutely excellent. I like fish and normally I think salmon is just okay. But the ingredients in this recipes really made all the right flavors pop out. I much enjoyed the honey/Dijon mixture. The fish was cooked just right. DELICIOUS! I would definitely make this again. Thanks Arnie.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2001
I made this recipe in 2001, loved it, used other recipes since and have come back to this one. Look no further. I made it again this year (2009) and my family raved. My kids asked for seconds, my sister-in-law who eats like a bird couldn't stop eating it and my dad said it reminded him of the stuffing that his mom and aunt used to make. What a compliment. The only changes I made were adding about 2 cloves of minced garlic, an additional loaf of white bread that I toasted in the oven and then cut into cubes. Start with around 2 cups of broth and work your way up to your desired consistency. I ended up using about 4.5 cups. I made mine the night before and then set the slow cooker on low for about 4.5 hours. It was perfect. I think this recipe is going to be my yearly standard.

Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2001
This is a very good recipe. I've used it twice and both times, it went fast. The last time I made it I had guests over and they were working on their second plate while I was still eating my first. It was a race to get seconds. Very tasty.

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2001
This was good but I thought it would be more like the restaurant dip I had. Maybe it was a bit too sour and not creamy enough. Anyway, not bad.

Easy Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2001
WOW, was this good. My husband and I had it for dinner and we both liked it very much. So much so, that we ate it all ourselves. I improvised a little and added one hot green pepper, mushrooms and some extra garlic. It was tasty and had a perfect kick to it. Thanks for the recipe, Paula. I'll be making this again and again. Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2001
This is the BEST cheesecake I have ever tasted. I made it for New Year's Eve 2000 and everyone that tried it, loved it. My husband and I can't get enough. I might have to make another just for ourselves. The only problem in making it is that it cracked badly although I followed the directions about leaving it in the oven (turned off) for five hours. However, it could have been that I had to hand mix it since my mixer broke while making it. Michelle
