Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
Best slow cooker roast I ever had. The gravy is the best part of a roast to me and I've never been able to get it right until I tried this recipe. I read some of the reviews and since I was using a smaller roast I only used 1 can of soup and all I had was Golden Onion soup mix so I used that. I used about half a can of water and half a packet of brown gravy mix. It made plenty of gravy and was perfect over mashed potatoes. Will definitely make this roast more often. I usually look forward to the carrots in a pot roast but after reading some of the reviews I left them out. I didn't miss them because this dish was so good.

Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
Awesome! I will never make my green bean cass the old boring way again! If I'm in a hurry I use the pre cooked bacon bits and microwave them for about 30 sec to crisp them up and bring out the flavor.I could seriously eat a ton of this dish! very rich and yummy.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
takes alot of ingredients but the end result is worth it. This dish was very good. Thick and rich. the next time I make it I'm going to try adding some BBQ sauce for a different taste. I added Butter Beans and they were the best, and I did not add Garbanzo beans. Great Dish!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
AWESOME COOKIES! I added an extra cup of sugar and some more vanilla per some of the other reviews and I think that was a good idea. It added some exrta flavor. I have made these alot and everyone always loves them. I just tried the "Sugar Cookie Frosting" recipe from this site and it is great. I do sometimes have to add more flour to this recipe to make it more workable. And I tried to roll it onto Parchment paper per other reviews and wasn't succesful with that at all! I even tried to keep the paper from shifting by putting some shortening under it. Didn't work. however I do cook these on parchment paper and it works wonderfully. You should definently keep any dough you are not working with in the fridge. and a tip for rolling them out is to smear a thin layer of shortening on the counter and then dust with a mixture of flour and powdered sugar so that the flour sticks to the counter and your cookies wont stick. I love these cookies and will never make another sugar cookie recipe again!!

Sugar Cookie Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I can never get this right. It is alwasy a mess. It tastes really good and I hate to give it a low rating just because I can't figure it out. Perhaps "glaze" is not for me. I prefer the "Sugar Cookie Frosting" recipe from this site. It allowes me to add more detail to "the Best Rolled Sugar Cookies". I will keep experimenting with this though and try to get it right.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
PERFECT!! I have been looking for the right icing/ frosting for sugar cookies and I have found it. I first creamed the shortening and then added sugar a little at a time then added milk a little at a time. came out perfect. I piped it on with a pastry bag. Looks great and tastes great too. I always use "the Best Rolled Sugar Cookies" recipe from this site and they are awesome! would recommend for decorating pretty cookies.
