Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2014
I made this in a crock pot with ranch dressing mix as a substitute. It was delicious! I used four frozen breasts, though I could have used a couple more as it makes a lot of sauce. I then shredded/chunked them at the end.

Make Ahead Manicotti

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
I also added 1/2 lb of Italian sausage, as well as using about 1 1/2 jars of spaghetti sauce, and then about 2/3 spinach. I boiled the noodles for about 4 minutes... that might have been too long b/c some fell apart, but when they are baked, they kind of fall apart anyway. I baked them for 30 min covered, and 10 min uncovered. Delicious!

Pear Bread II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
I used 3 cans of pears and left it chunky. Delicious!! I also went light on the sugar (maybe 1 1/2 cups) and it was still nice and sweet.

I agree about adding an extra cup of sugar, and extra tsp of vanilla.

I used a frozen 12 oz bag of very berry blend (blueberries, strawberries and cherries) that I thawed and chopped the big pieces. Delicious!

Fruit Pizza I

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
The crust is pretty hard to spread. I used a normal jelly roll pan, and couldn't get it to the edges. Try to spread it as thin as possible though b/c it will puff up. I also doubled the cream cheese filling and put in about 1/4 cup orange juice instead of vanilla (could have put in more though!). I didn't use the full 1/2 cup sugar after taste-testing it. After cutting the fruit, I laid it out on paper towels to drain well. Mine didn't get soggy b/c of this.

Savory Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
The dill adds so much! Although I didn't quite put in the pull 1/2 tsp b/c that seemed like a lot to me. I added a couple more Tbsp mayo and used rice vinegar and regular mustard. I mixed everything together in a bowl and then put it into a plastic baggie. Cut a small snip off the corner and voila! Also, when cutting the eggs, I looked for a darker spot where the yolk was close to the outside. Then I made sure not to cut on that spot, b/c the wall would be too thin. These were so good that I really don't want to share them!!

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
I followed the cake part pretty much exactly, but making sure to soften the butter. I followed another reviewer but doing the following for the streusel: 1/2 c flour, 1/2 c sugar, 1/2 c brown sugar, 1 tsp cinn, 1/4 c butter. I tried it in the 9X13 despite what other reviewers said b/c I wanted it to cook quickly. I'm glad I did. I had no trouble spreading it, it puffed up during baking, and it was done in 25 minutes. Came out perfectly!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Maybe it was the dark beer I chose, but I could still really taste it. Just didn't appeal to me.

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
Just be sure to not overcook the veggies before adding the chicken stock! I'd say add it when they are more on the crisp side than you'd think, because it takes some time for the sauce to thicken.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
I cooked this, as suggested, by frying first, then adding broth. I thought it was very moist, but definitely lacking flavor.
