There are nothing like mom cooking. I begin to realize and agree on this when I live in the U.S. My mom is now my cooking mentor, she is guiding me on how to cook over the phone. I have never known how much I love cooking until I live on my own. Now I dream to have my own cooking class some days in a near future.
My favorite things to cook
All healthy Thai foods; soup, curry, stir fry and salad. I love to cook Thai fusion by mixing my mom recipes and American favorite meats and vegies. I'm not a big fan of deep fry cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom loves to cook curry with or without coconut milk. She likes to serves her curry with Thai egg soup (kai pa low). In addition, she also love to make her own curry paste. Here in the U.S., you can buy curry paste from the market, it is quick and easy. Now I'm merried and my husband has severe colitis. Now I must add NO carb cooking in our kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
My husband is influencing me to be a better cook in no carb cooking. I have learn to adapt no carb cooking with Thai food. Many dishes are excellent and my husband condition is now stable.
My cooking tragedies
There are many times that I try to rush cooking. I will say that is a big mistake. I try not to do it.
