Snack Crackers

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
Excellent! I made a double batch and cut the oil down to 3/4 of a cup instead of 1 cup after reading the suggestions from others.

Tree-Shaped Crescent Veggie Appetizers

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
This was a big hit at a cookie exchange that I hosted. They now sell crescent rolls sliced into spirals as called for in the recipe. Great idea!

Vanilla Ice Cream V

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
Great taste, easy to make, but a little grainy. I have never tried a no cook ice cream before. This was easy and I'll make it again, but it doesn't seem as smooth as my cooked recipes. If anyone has suggestions- I'll try them.

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
This was incredible! My whole family loved it. I followed the recipe with only two minor changes. I used lemon juice instead of zest and I pre baked my crust after brushing it with egg whites, as suggested by other reviews.

Cola-Basted Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I loved this recipe. My son and husband didn't like the paste as well as I did. I used a spiral cut ham and loved how the paste and cola seeped into the ham.

Rosemary and Garlic Simmered Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
This was a great recipe even though I made a few changes and messed up a little. I used a new Penzey's seasoning called Bavarian Seasoning (crushed brown mustard, rosemary, garlic, thyme, bay leaves, and sage). I also used chicken broth instead of beef, because that's all I had. The flavor was great and I will use this recipe again. I forgot to turn it down when I added the broth, even though I overcooked it a little, it tasted very good.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
These were great! My whole family loved them. I didn't have bone in chops, I used thinner boneless pork chops and left them in the oven for only 8 minutes and they were perfect!

Sophie's Kolacky

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
My family loved these cookies. We filled them with apricot, blueberry, and raspberry preserves. I followed the recipe exactly, but will try the suggestion to leave out the baking powder next time just to see how they are different. We will make these again!!

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
This is perfect! I am from northern Wisconsin and make mine with this recipe minus the sugar, but my family loves sweet tea, so I make theirs with sure. They love it! Our friends from Kansas said the sweet tea was great! It is never bitter or cloudy.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
These were excellent! My first one turned out a little light (user error, nothing to do with the recipe), but I just popped it in the toaster and it was great! The rest turned out perfect! Thanks- this was very easy and tasty!

Easy Baklava

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
This was a great recipe. I added 1/2 cup of sugar to the nut and cinnamon mixture, I wasn't sure if the cinnamon would mix in well with out sugar. It was great!

Southern Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
Excellent! The whole family loved it, even picky eaters! We also made the coconut cake that was recommended in another review and that was great too! We served the pulled pork on rolls with bbq sauce and a scoop of home made coleslaw on top. Messy, but incredible!

Works great with venison too! To save time I cube the roast and it shreds easily when it is ready to serve.

Grandmother's Famous Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
This bread is amazing!!! The best cranberry bread recipe I've had. I baked it according to directions and sprayed my pans extra heavy after reading other reviews. One pan was metal and the bread popped right out, the other was stonewear and it stuck a little in the bottom. Probably just my pan! I also used craisins in place of raisins since my boys don't like raisins. I'll try it with raisins sometime though!! Thanks for sharing this great family recipe!

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
Great recipe! The chicken is very moist. For variations I have used plain yogurt (not vanilla!!) instead of mayo and crushed club crackers when I didn't have bread crumbs - added a little pepper and salt! My family loves it that way too!

Lobster Bisque

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
This soup was incredible and easy! I followed some of the recommendations. I doubled the worchestershire and chopped the onions. I also used heavy whipping cream instead of milk and crab instead of lobster. I didn't add the tomatoe paste. My husband loved it with a little Sherry drizzled over top.

Coconut Sour Cream Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
Excellent! It is fairly sweet, so smaller pieces are nice. We toasted the coconut to sprinkle on top. I will make this for the holidays! Loved the tinted coconut and jelly bean egg idea!
