Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: May 27, 2006
This was incredible! I seared the roast first with cajun spices and garlic rubbed into it. I didn't have any cream of mushroom soup so I used cream of broccoli instead- I know it sounds strange, but we love broccoli. Instead of water I used Dale's liquid seasoning. Everything else I followed to the letter. Let me tell you, it was the best roast I've ever cooked, and I've cooked A LOT of them! A premium recipe that deserves top honors!

I wasn't crazy about this recipe, but I gave it a 4 because my family loved it.

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2006
Incredible! I made a batch of this and melted it for dipping a homemade pizza into. Absolutely beats delivery garlic butter hands down! I will use this on just about everything from here on. I cut the garlic salt in half and added garlic powder in its place, but otherwise left the recipe in tact. The best I've ever tasted!

Creamy Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
This was so simple and elegant! I added a touch of unsweetened baking cocoa for my grandaughter's birthday cake. It was an absolute success and the best icing I've ever made!! I am not a baker by any stretch of the imagination, but this was the "icing on the cake" of my baking experience!

Franks 'N' Beans Supper

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
This didn't sound very appealing at first glance, but it turned out pretty good! I doubled the thyme and pepper and added salt and a can of pork n' beans. My husband loved it- he called it "down-home country cookin!"

I had everything on hand but chicken broth, so I subbed boullion. I also poured the sauce over each layer I made. These were fantastic!

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This was sssssooooo good! I bought a spiral honey ham w/spices included and mixed the spices in with the soda. Placed it in the crockpot with some stew veggies and it came out perfect! I did add more soda than the recipe called for, though.

Easy Creamy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
So, so good! I took suggestions from others and browned the roast, then seasoned with garlic and lemon pepper. Added carrots, celery and potatoes, then mixed 1 can cream of celery, 1 can cream of mushroom, and 1 pkg. onion soup mix. Baked in the oven @ 350 degrees for about 3 hours. Excellent!

Simple Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 6, 2014
Excellent! I made a few changes, though. Instead of water I used vegetable broth. Only used two thick pork chops but kept the other ingredients the same. Seasoned the chops with Mrs. Dash (original)) and browned them in a skillet. Then I deglazed the pan with some white wine and added it to the other ingredients. I didn't add potatoes, but in the last hour I added some potato, spinach and cheese perogies. It was fantastic!
