Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2007
These muffins were delicious. I made the mistake of overbaking them, so they were too dry. They would have been better if they were sweeter though.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
I used Duncan Hines cake mix and followed the recipe to a T. The cake was really good, but there was nothing extraordinary about it. It tasted like normal cake mix and the extra ingredients didn't add anything special to it.

I've been making these for years and they are so delicious! They only take 5 minutes to make and are so easy. I can't wait to try them with different kinds of cereal.

Chocolate Fudge Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
thanks for the recipe... These were so simple to make! They looked really pretty too. I used Betty Crocker triple fudge cake mix so it precame with chocolate chips. I felt they were a bit bland, so next time i'll add walnuts.

Self-Filled Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2006
Brought these to a potluck and they were the first dessert to dissapear. It made three dozens of mini cupcakes and one dozen of regular sized cupcakes. The mini cupcakes were well recieved and were conveniently bite sized. The cream cheese mixture did sink quite a bit in the large ones but looked pretty when cut in half because of the filling.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2006
I used this recipe for a strawberry shortcake and it was really good and moist. I used oil instead of shortening and didn't have cake flour so I subbed 7/8 cup ap flour w/ two Tablspoons of cornstarch for every cup of cake flour. This is the best made from scratch cake recipe that I have tried.

Black Bottom Cupcakes I

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
These tasted like chocolate cupcakes with a dollop of cheesecake on top. They weren't as chocolaty as I like but they were still good and looked appetizing. I halved the recipe and it made a tray of mini cupcakes along with 5 large ones. The mini cupcakes were bite sized and so cute.

Simple and easy dessert. It tasted smooth and silky. It was really good when it came out of the oven but it tasted a little bit eggy after being in the fridge overnight.

Sand Art Brownies

Reviewed: May 5, 2006
Easy to make and only one bowl to clean!I used 1/2 cup of oil instead of 3/4 cup, and 2+1/2 egg. Made it in a 8x8 pan. I didn't have any vanilla chips so I omitted them. They were really good brownies.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2006
I was craving a sweet chocolate treat when I came upon this recipe. It was so easy to make and deliciously thick. I used all purpose flour in place of cornstarch like someone else suggested and it worked great. I lost half of my pudding in the microwave because I used too small of a bowl. Great quick recipe.

Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

great cheesecake!! I followed the recipe to a T and had enough filling for the crust. It tasted good too. The only problem that I had is that my cheesecake didn't look half as good as the picture. :)

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
This was my first time making cream puffs and they turned out great! The only thing I changed is I made the filling from scratch with a pastry cream recipe from this site. I used a plastic bag and snipped the end off to fill the puff. I will be making this often.

This was a quick and easy dinner to throw together. I served it over farfalle pasta and it was great. I didn't follow the recipe exactly, just estimated.

Pastry Cream

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
This was the first pastry cream that I made and it was pretty good. It tasted even better in my cream puffs. I substituted vanilla extract for the bean as I did not have any vanilla beans.

Fortune Cookies I

After all the great reviews, I thought I found the perfect recipe. I had a problem with this recipe. They stuck really bad and I couldn't peel them off the sheet. I ended up serving them flat. However, they get 5 stars for taste.

The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie

I don't like using butter in my recipes so this was a great find for me. I used vanilla instead of the almond extract. They're really soft and chewy and delicious.

Buche de Noel

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
The cake had a nice texture and flavor-light and spongy. Instead of making the filling from scratch, I filled it with a whipped topping. It looked really pretty and it was tasty.
