Parmesan Focaccia Bread
made for dinner last night, and breakfast toast this morn. GREAT. mixed dough in bread machine, added grated parm/romano in mix. rose nicely in the machine, and would have kneaded more flour in but hands were sticky. two 8" loaves seems more likely to be the texture i wanted. like the idea of kosher salt on top, also want to try an olive tappanade (sp?). will definitely make again...

Fresh Asparagus and Chicken Casserole
i made this tonight and look forward to leftovers. i followed the rcp pretty closely with these changes: 2 cups chicken, doubled broth & sourcream, added bottled garlic, paprika(sweet) and several bold dashes of tabasco to the simmering sauce. yes, the sauce is a bit runny when first presented, but i had none left on my plate when i was done. when reheated, the extra sauce will probably keep the dish from drying out. don't precook asparagus unless you like it mushy. next time i'll include diced tomatoes, scallions & a diced jalapeno. try this and make it your own.

Sourdough Rye
I found this recipe unbakeable. My starter works well in other recipes, so I did not expect any trouble. However, the first rise was minimal, I had to knead in an additional cup of flour so the dough didn't stick to the counter, there was nothing to punch down, and after letting rise for more than four hours I was still left with a lifeless slab of ingredients. Won't make this again!
