Steak Sauce

I make this every time we have steak. I add a little bit more yellow mustard in mine and the hot sauce is habanero just for more kick. This can easily be adjusted to your own taste.

Apricot and White Chip Cookies with Almonds

I gave this 4 stars because I modified it a bit. First off, I used the ingredients as a base and they went very well together. These adjustments were more to our liking (less sweet) Waay too many chips, white chips are very sweet! Here is what I did - 1/2 c butter, 1/2 c white chips (I can't imagine what 2 cups of chips would taste like), 1/2 cup brown sugar and added 1/2 c sweetened coconut. Placed into fridge for 10-15 min and made into small (1 inch or so) balls and flattened slightly. I only got a little more than 2 dozen due to using smaller amounts. These cooked about 13-14 min.

Blueberry Cherry Pie

This turned out great, but I have to give it four stars due to my alterations. I used just 3/4 cups of sugar (still sweet enough) and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Using less cinnamon allowed all of the flavors to be tasted equally. I will definitely make this again!

Homesteader Cornbread

I have made this too many times to count and it always turns out great! Normally, I reduce serving size to 6 and use 1 egg instead of less than one egg. I mix ground beef with salsa, cumin and chili powder and put in pan, spread cheddar cheese and sliced black olive then pour cornbread batter over (2.8 liter casserole dish). Cook for about 30 minutes at 395 degrees (or longer if you like drier cornbread). Always turns out great! I have made lots of cornbread looking for the best one and I think this is it. Soaking in milk for 10 minutes is the key for me.
