Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2006
Absolutely delicious! I've tried to make mocha flavored desserts before, but the coffee flavor has always been overpowering. This is a GREAT recipe! The cheesecake is almost a mousse consistency. I used Kalua, which was fabulous.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Awesome! Thought it was better then Applebee's...which was what got me on the dip kick in the first place!

I only used 10 ounces of button mushrooms and two portobellos and this was awesome!

Absolutely awesome! I doubled the cayenne pepper and used this marinade on one pound of shrimp. Great recipe thanks!

Awesome! What a nice sweet tang from the balsamic vinegar and sundried tomatoes!

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
Very good! This reminded me of grapefruit juice which I found shocking considering the amount of alcohol it contained! This is the only recipe I've ever attempted...

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2006
This was good, but I wasn't that thrilled. To be fair, I didn't use a bone-in ham which is always better (someone gave me the boneless one). I really did think the glaze was the consistency of the honey baked ham I've had before...I think they use brown sugar and cook it differently.

Mrs. Strong's Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
Awesome for kids! Like a homeade (and much tastier) version of hamburger helper...couldn't spread the cream cheese/sour cream mixture so I just blended it into the tomato sauce. I used Italian style meatloaf mix (beef, pork & veal) instead of plain ground beef & added green bell pepper to the meat mix.

I am so thankful for a great green bean casserole recipe without the dreaded cream of mushroom soup! Thought this was great!

Blue Cheese Potato Salad

I thought this tasted great, but it was too much work...Wegmans makes one just as good.

Herbed Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
I never thought about cooking rice in the oven...I've always done it on the stovetop. This was awesome...very flavorful!

Slow-Cooked Flank Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
The flavor was great but the steak was overdone...I should have paid closer attention to it after about six hours even though I did use a 1 1/2 pound cut of meat as the recipe calls for. Instead of the chilies I used one hot cherry pepper. I also used red wine vinegar.

Very tasty and refreshing with the sour cream! I always mix this ahead, cover with saran wrap and refrigerate until dinner time.

Slow Cooker London Broil

The meat was very tender, but the sauce tasted like barbecue sauce.

Addictive Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2006
I thought maybe this would end up tasting like something from TGIF or Applebees...just ended up tasting like flavors that didn't blend well.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
I really don't think the taste of the herbs penetrated into the meat. I tried a plain piece of white meat to check it out before adding gravy to it, and really think it tasted the same as a plain butterball.
