For me, actually making the time to cook is a triumph unto itself, but I'm really delighted with the fact that I've managed to keep the kitchen MOSTLY kosher, as of late :D

Oh...Where should I start??? I seem to be highly acident prone in the kitchen. I conside the two enormous burns that now grace my right hand to be cooking tragedies :b

Hamantashen
If you are looking for a recipe that make a decent pastry, then I think you may enjoy this version of hamantashen. However...I was expecting this to taste like the authentic hamantashen that I am used to, and was pretty dissappointed. I noticed where another person had suggesting using oil instead of butter and tried the recipe with that alteration, but the dough was still a bit too gooey and had trouble retaining the shape. After being baked, it seemed that the taste was softer or chewier than traditional hamantashen should be.. Again, this is a tasty cookie, but not is you are wanting to make “real” hamanstahen :)

Mom's Mandelbrot
Very good mandelbrot! I was glad that this recipe did not have a crumbly consistency, like many of the other mandelbrot and biscotti recipes I have tried. I will make this again, soon :-)

Butter Chickpea Curry
This recipe is awesome! Also, as a vegan, I appreciated that this recipe is was really easy for me to convert into a vegan recipe. Instead of using regular milk, I used rice milk. Rice milk works very well if you are trying to modify this recipe to be vegan-friendly. Unlike soymilk, rice milk doesn't leave a distinct flavor that might clash with some of the other flavors in the curry. I will definitely make this curry again!
