Great sauce! I cut the sour cream in half but kept all the other amounts the same. I did add some mayo as others suggested to help the consistency. Thank you!!

Pecan Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
What agreat recipe. I made zuchinni bread for a family reunion and wanted to serve a spread other than butter. This is perfect! I did only use 1c of the nuts, as I was afraid it would tear the bread. I coarsely chopped my nuts in my food processor and then removed them. I whipped the butter and powdered sugar in the same processor until it was light and fluffy. Then I folded in the nuts and served it in a crystal bowl, with a garnish of a few of the chopped nuts on top. It looked so pretty and made my bread special. Thank you!

Braunschweiger and Nut Ball

My grandmother made this for years. She added chopped onion and 1T lemon juice as well. If you skip the walnuts on top, you can mold this in a salad mold and "frost" with mayo, sour cream or more cream cheese and sprinkle with chopped chives. Thanks for bringing back happy memories!

Reminds me of ones my grandma used to make. I added 2/3 c coconut, subbed cashews for the walnuts and used 1 c white chocolate chips and 1 c chocolate chips and used butter instead of shortening. I love this because you can truly make it your own. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Chocolate Eclair Cake

So easy and good! I followed other reviewers suggestions and only used an 8 oz container of whipped topping and 3 1/2c milk. I think our favorite version is using white chocolate pudding and chocolate graham crackers. Yummy!

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
My 11 year old said "Mom you can make this any time". I did use frozen hash browns, used 8 large eggs instead of 6 jumbo added a bit of salt and pepper and cayenne pepper to the mix. I also prebaked the hash browns/ butter while the sausage cooked. I cooked the onions with the sausage when it was almost done to make sure they weren't too crunchy. I have made this 3 times so far and it is my new "go to" recipe for egg bake. Thanks!!!!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

These are wonderful! I only made two minor adjustments, based on others reviews. I used buttermilk instead of regular milk, doubled the vanilla and increased the sugar by 1/2c. The frosting is amazing!I doubled the butter, sour cream and vanilla. I have my mom's old muffin tins (which are small by todays standards) and it made 36 cupcakes. Thanks for a great recipe!

These are amazing! I didn't change a thing, except to use butter instead of margarine, increase the nutmeg to 1 tsp and bake in regular muffin pans. The whole family loved them. Thanks!!!

Blackberry Wine Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
This is a great cake! I have also tried raspberry wine and raspberry Jello-O and it is wonderful. Just a few tweaks to the glaze...I use 1 1/4 c powdered sugar and add 1/4c water. I poke holes with my long tined fork immediately after taking the cake out of the oven. After cooling for 10 minutes, I take the cake out of the pan, pour 1/2 of the glaze in the bottom of the pan, return the cake to the pan and pour the remaining glaze over the bottom of the cake. Then I cover it with plastic wrap and let it sit overnight in the pan. Turn out the next morning onto your cake plate. It is so nice and moist! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Made these last night. I followed the recipe exactly, except for increasing the butter to 1/2c as others recommended and only filling the cups halfway full. Frosted them with a chocolate buttercream frosting. They were light and fluffy and moist. The kids loved them! Thank you for a great recipe!

Monster Cookies I

I lost my recipe for these cookies and tried these. I only made a couple minor adjustments. I added 1c flour as others suggested. I increased the peanut butter to 3 cups and added M & Ms and Reeses Pieces. Used white chocolate chips, because that was all I had on hand. What a great recipe! The cookies held together well and were delicious. It made a huge batch, which was great, as we have a large family. Thanks!

Irene's Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
Excellent sauce! The only thing I changed was to cut the salt to 1/2 tsp -my husband needs to watch his salt intake and we don't like things overly salty anyway. Next time I might leave it out entirely. The kids loved it! Put it over chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Yummy!!! I will never buy barbeque sauce again.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

My daughters (ages 10 and 7) wanted to try making these for our Valentine's dinner. The recipe was so easy. We made them ahead of time and refrigerated the batter in the muffin cups as others have recommended. They were so good! Topped them with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and some jarred hazelnut chocolate sprinkles that I had on hand. Thanks for a fun, easy and delicious recipe!!
