Best Barbequed Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
Best burgers I have ever made! I substituted the oats with Italian bread crumbs and cut the ketchup in 1/2 and added Worcestershire sauce. Fantastic!

Asparagus-Lover's Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I made this dish for my BF parents and they RAVED about it. I used 6 chicken breasts and more than 2 tsp of orange rind. The recipe does not list Soy Sauce as an ingredient but it is in the directions when cooking. I just added it until it was flavorful. Definitely will make again.

I made this dish at Thanksgiving and Christmas. LOVE IT! It is now replacing green bean casserole (which I still love)!

Chicken Pasta - Shannon Style

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
This was excellent! My BF doesn't usually eat pasta without red sauce but he really liked this and wants me to make it again. I used the recipe from this website for Greek Salad Dressing and scaled it down to 5 servings. EXCELLENT!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
Excellent recipe! I scaled it down for 5 servings and used it on pasta. I didn't add any sugar and thought it was still good. A little bit vinegary but I like that. I will be making this again and following the suggestion of someone else who bottled it and gave it as gifts. This is so good you just have to share!

Light 'n' Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I usually botch mashed potatoes; too lumpy or too pasty. These were perfect! Even my mom was raving about the mashed potatoes.

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Made this for Christmas. I used fresh broccoli crowns and steamed them until just tender. I used Mircle Whip because that it what I use. I also added Worcestershire sauce instead of the lemon juice as someone suggested. I also used a sleeve of the ritz crackers as 12 didn't seem to cover the top. I LOVE this casserole. Even my mom took home a few servings for leftovers!

Cream Cheese Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I made these for Christmas dessert as a last minute because I messed up the original dessert. I had a 10 oz package of fudge brownie mix. I made it according to the cake like brownies. I used an 8 oz cream cheese and added a teaspoon of vanilla. The brownies came out nice and moist. I served with peppermint ice cream. My mom was skeptical but said she thought the flavor combination was good.

Cherry Pound Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
I made this for Valentine's Day to bring into work. Received rave reviews. I would definitely make this again. I only cooked it for 60 minutes. Next time I made add white choco chips as someone else suggested.

Served this as an app for Christmas. These were fantastic! They were just as good the next day too. I would definitely make this again.

Wild Mushroom Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I made this stuffing for Thanksgiving. I love mushrooms but I thought this was a little much. I will make it again but will put less mushrooms in it. I used a packaged season stuffing mix and thought the flavoring was perfect with the fresh sage.

Cool Cucumber Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
I used a lemon cucumber that was given to me by a co-worker. I also used Kraft Sandwich Shop Garlic & Herb Reduced Fat mayo (no ranch dressing). I added a slice of Kraft singles. Very yummy. I didn't have any bacon but I bet that would be very tasty.

Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I used this recipe for Christmas dinner and adjusted according to reviews. I had a 4.6 lb roast. I cooked it at 500 for 22 minute and then let it sit for an hour without opening the oven. I had a meat thermometer in it while it was cooking and it was only 95 degrees after 60 minutes. So I cooked it at 375 for an additional 45 minutes (until the meat thermometer reached 140). I took the roast out of the oven and the outside did not sear and the color was not very appetizing. I am not sure if my oven door did not seal properly or if the roast should have been at room temperature before cooking. I'll try this again but I will not use as much dijion mustard if any at all. Meat was very tender but did not come out medium rare. Was more like medium.

Ma Lipo's Apricot-Glazed Turkey with Roasted Onion and Shallot Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
The skin of the turkey had nice flavor but the meat didn't really have any of the flavor. It smelled delicious while cooking. I think the flavor comibination is more suited to a spring/summer dish though. I would make this again on chicken.

Buffet Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
These meatballs were good but not great. I thought they were a little too sweet. My BF didn't really care for them at all but he does prefer gravy than a BBQ-y type sauce. I don't know if I would make these again.
