I work far from home and like to come home and have a delicious yet simple and quick meal. Leftovers are golden as long as I can turn it into something different tomorrow! I have an Awesome herb garden: parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, cilantro, basil, chives, mint..I want to grow it all, if only I had the room to grow veggies!!
My favorite things to cook
Pasta salads, RIBS, quick and easy, but I'm always willing to spend time chopping to have a nice fresh taste.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Slovac, but I never had a chance to learn from the "foremothers" of the family so I try to mimic the taste and the smell! Also Irish but that's been mastered, just Boil it!! Drunken Chicken soup, I got that from my father, but only the drinking part!
My cooking triumphs
Hummus, completely unfamiliar but loved by coworkers. Empty the cupboard Baked beans, tastes different every time!!
My cooking tragedies
The only thing that hasn't gone over well at home is Spicy, but my coworkers always love it! And I never add enough salt, that can be done at the end.
