Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
Salmon turns out absolutely amazing, just make sure you use 100% pure maple syrup, it makes a big difference. I also added a tbsp. of freshly grated ginger and it was really good. I marinated the salmon overnight in a foil lined pan and then just popped it in the oven when the time came. I allowed 1/2 hour and it came out perfect. My sauce didn't burn off at all so I was very happy about that. Thanks for posting.

Darn Good Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
We liked it although next time I would cut back just a touch on the mustard because that taste does come through quite a bit. I loved the nutmeg in this, very different. The sauce is excellent for dipping the chicken in and it cooked up nice in the marinade....didn't waste a thing.

Chicken Spaghetti Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
An easy throw together dish that is very satisying. I did not have white wine in the house so I substituted chicken broth and it still turned out fine. Pimento is a nice touch in this, although one can of soup leaves it on the dry side. I will make again but do as other reviewers suggested by adding an extra can of soup.

Butter Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
One of the best roast chicken recipes I have tried. I do not normally buy chicken with the skin on but this was so very good, nice and crisp skin with moist flavorful chicken within. I also did as past reviewers and did it as a whole chicken stuffed with a couple cloves of whole garlic. I also found the butter could be cut back a little but the sauce did turn out delicious. Enjoy!!

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2007
Really tasty pork chops. I added 1/2 chicken broth instead of the cup of water and it turned out great. Goes very well with rice.

Patties were flavorful. The only down part was there should be more gravy because it was delicious.

Hearty Meatball Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
This lives up to the recipe name, but we found the meatballs missing a bit of flavor. Made tons of soup so make sure you have containers for freezing. A great way of getting in all your vegetables.

Bum's Lunch

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2007
Super easy to make and clean up is a breeze but it definetly needs a lot more seasoning. I found even the potatoes just had no taste, will be a great dish if you season your meat and potatoes the way you like.

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2007
What a shame this can't be rated higher than 5 stars. We absolutely loved this recipe, one of the best stir fry recipes I do. I also did as some other reviewers suggested and doubled up on the marinade and used half to stir fry the vegetables, this is finger licking good sauce. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.

Tater Tot Hot Dish I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
As other reviewers I cooked the ground beef and onion together with a bit of garlic. I left out the oats also. This dish turned out nice and cheesy, very good and quick to put together.

Holiday Meal For Two

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
This is just too good to save for a holiday.....maybe a romantic dinner for 2. You don't have a giant mess to clean up on this and the hens are deliciously seasoned. I liked the fact it was a complete meal, I felt like I was in a fancy restaurant. Thanks for this great recipe.

Slow-Cooked Flank Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
This was so moist it fell apart on our plates. I wasn't quite sure if I would like the chilies but it added a nice zip to this dish. So easy to throw all this together and served with mashed potatoes it was fantastic!!

Hearty Beef Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
I only rated this 4 out of 5 because it took a lot longer than 8 hrs on low to cook the potatoes. Nothing spectacular to this one compared to what I make on top of the stove, so I will stick to my old recipe. Thanks anyways.

Chocolate Chip Orange Zucchini Bread

This is a very good loaf, moist and flavorful. Nice for breakfast with a bit of butter spread on but tasty without. Will definetly do this one again when I have zucchini to use up.

Super easy to make and a good way of getting all your vegetables in. I liked the taste of the french fried onions in this dish, very different. Nice looking casserole with the biscuits ringing the top.

Slow-Cooked Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
This was a very good meatloaf and a blessing to come home to after a long hard day. I did cut back on the carrots because 8 were just too much and there were not enough baby red potatoes so I will definetly have to cook more next time. I also suggest cutting the carrots just a bit smaller since they were a bit on the firm side for us. Thanks though for a great recipe.

Simple Turkey Chili

Wasn't the best chili I have made but not the worst either. We did find it way too watery and it was missing something too, can't put my finger on what would have made it better.
