Pina Colada Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
Disappointing. Sounded good, and the coconut milk was excellent served over the rice but as for the chops :( enough said. I will keep my pina colada's for drinking.

Nice flavor, golden brown chicken. I didn't use oranges and they were not missed.

These fall off the bone but I did not think to much of the tomatoes, needed more seasoning.

Picnic Chicken Pitas

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
Very filling but we found the mustard a bit overpowering. This was a good way to get my hubby to eat broccoli though. I made my own pitas and used fresh broccoli.

Great recipe just as written. A different kind of stir fry than what we are used to.

Meat Lover's Burger

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
This recipe had mixed reviews at my house. I liked the recipe except for the fact the hamburger buns burned on the bottom. My husband agreed with the reviewer who said it was a Pbj night. He only liked the cheese and bacon topping.

Barbeque Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
Wonderful recipe and even making half the recipe it made enough for me and my husband for two meals. The homesteader cornbread recipe off of this site was the best cornbread I have had and it will now be the only recipe I use. I made half the cornbread recipe to top this casserole.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
These smelled so good while cooking. I did season the chops with seasoning salt instead of salt and pepper and they turned out very nice. The sauce went well with mashed potatoes.

Pig Pickin' Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2007
Never heard of this cake before but the name got me to try this delicious cake. Very moist and flavorful. I made it in 2 8inch pans because I didn't have a third pan and it raised so much it made a small mess when it raised up so high. I have subsequently bought a 3rd cake pan to do this. It was a hit with the whole family. Thanks for posting.

Picnic Potato Chip Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2007
Really good and the garlic taste came through nicely. Not the healthiest dish but the chips gave it a nice crunch. I used a combination of boneless skinless chicken thighs and drumsticks with the skin on and the thighs got gobbled up first. A good way of getting the kids to eat their chicken.

Very quick to throw together and it was an excellent breakfast drink. Came out a very pretty color with wild blueberries, raspberries and banana.

Pineapple Ham Loaf

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
This was a little trouble as I had to grind my own cooked ham for this recipe. It makes a large loaf and the glaze definetly makes it.

Broccoli Beef I

I agree with another reviewer who suggested doubling up on the broth other wise you get mud. It needed a little bit more flavor also, but liked the fact it wasn't salty like take out Chinese food.

Piggies in Blankies

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
While these were quick and easy to prepare the bisquick dough did not have any taste. They also did not bake to a golden brown and I left them in for the amount of time stated which is plenty to cook these. I think these would be great using Pillsbury Crescent Dough.

Other than using another type of fish I followed the recipe exactly. This dish turns out very flaky, moist and delicious. I served with a side salad and I loved the fact I had a filling meal in 20 minutes time.

Becki's Oven Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2007
These wings turned out sweet and saucy and they had my cat trying to get them off the plate, LOL!! I did make a few changes, I added 1 1/2 tsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp chili powder, and 1 tbsp garlic powder instead of the onion powder called for. I still used the 1 cup of ketchup called for and we didn't find it overpowering in ketchup taste. This sauce would probably be good on other meats also and I can't wait to find out. Thanks for posting this great recipe. Made spare ribs tonight with this fantastic sauce and they turned out great!!!!!! I doubled the sauce ingredients to cover all the ribs after I had steamed them for a bit first to speed up cooking time. This is our all time favorite sauce recipe.
