Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Really nice chili. I toned it down a bit by omitting the red pepper flakes. I was worried about the amount of cumin but it turned out great. I also did as other reviewers suggested and substituted 1 of the cans of tomato soup for a can of chopped tomatoes and I did add a can of drained chilies with it.

BBQ Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
I found after baking it in the oven it tended to try out and I didn't care for the crust. I was sampling as it simmered on the stove and enjoyed it so will stop the recipe there and serve with warm rolls.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
A nice meaty version of lasagna. Not the world's best but far from the worst I have had. We still prefer my regular recipe so will stick to that.

Skillet Ham, Cabbage and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
We found this dish quite bland and had to add more seasoning. It did cook up fast with only the small amount of water though. I should have followed another reviewers suggestion to cube the potatoes because the slices did fall apart.

Made the dish as stated but did not like the type of sausage it called for with the sauce.

Colorful Taco Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
This was good and tastes just like a taco. We topped it with all our favorite toppings but the kids have more fun filling taco shells so we will stick to that. Thanks anyway. :)

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2008
After reading other reviewers suggestions I also cut back on the oil to 1/4 cup. This recipe was great and my hubby actually ate the yellow squash :-)

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
Very good.I marinated the pork chops overnight with 1/2 the sauce and then continued with the recipe the next day with the other half of the sauce. Make sure you poke holes in the chops so the marinade soaks through.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
I didn't have the french fried onions called for but did the recipe anyways. The chicken is moist and flavorful and would probably be even tastier with that missing ingredient so till then I will rate it 4.

I was short on time and tried this recipe since I had every thing on hand. Turned out great and no leftovers.

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2008
Perfect recipe for a large gathering as it makes lots. I cut the brown sugar in half as other reviewers suggested and I also did not add as much pineapple as I am not a fan. Leftovers are great also.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
I was like many other reviewers who were not sure how this would turn out by just adding the chicken with the margarine and italian seasoning package. This turns out very well, nice and creamy. Husband enjoyed this version of stroganoff.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
These were flavorful and of course messy to eat but as they should be. After reading other reviews I also opted for the cheaper chuck roast and this was super easy to shred. I had mine cooking for a longer time period as we were gone longer than expected and this did not dry out at all. This made lots so I was able to freeze half for a later use. I also forgot to throw on some provolone cheese on top of each sandwich which really would make these that much closer to Heaven. LOL!! Thanks for a great recipe.

Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
I just thought this sounded way too easy but this turns out so good. I bought a cheaper cut of port chops than what I normally do and these turned out delicious and the meat fell off the bone. My company was impressed.

Beef Potato House Pie Casserole

Very filling casserole and open to additions. I made it just as written and it was a nice change from the same type of recipe (shepherds pie) that I add vegetables to.
