3BC (Best Baked Bean Casserole)

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
This is one of my favorite things to eat when we grill. I usually use a little bit more bacon than the recipe calls for. I have even made it with ground sausage and it was fantastic. Believe me, everyone will rave about these beans.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This is afantastic recipe. Like suggested, I cut back on the sugar and only added 1/4 cup. I can't imagine what it would taste like with 1/2 cup. I also addeed about 1 tsp extra vinegar and left out the onion. Best slaw we've ever had!

Sloppy Joes II

This is the perfect sloppy joe recipe. I don't do anything differently and I always get compliments. Sometimes I make them on Friday night (Junk night) and add a slice of thick bacon to each sandwich!

Easy Creamy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I give this recipe 5 stars because it is so easy to modify and make it a little different every time. I have made it a dozen times and different each time...used different soups, seasonings, browned or not, veggies or none...each time, my family devours it. The gravy is to die for. For those of you who are afraid of the salt content, make sure to use low sodium soups and salt it yourself. I always use 3 cans of soup to ensure there is plenty of gravy.

Simple Beef Stroganoff

My family liked this one. It was a little too runny for my taste, so next time I'm going to add a little more sour cream and add about 1/2 block of cream cheese.

Bacon Spaghetti

Some people don't like the raw garlic in this recipe. I have always sauteed it in the bacon grease after the bacon was done. I also like to chop a tomato very finely and throw it in there. To help with it being too dry, I put about 2 tbsp margarine in the noodles while they're still hot.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
My family absolutely loves these. The first time I made them, I didn't have any ground beef, so I chopped a cheap round steak into small pieces. I also used taco seasoning and salsa on the bottom. Omitted the tortilla chips. Now we actually treat them just like tacos and have a plate with lettuce, tomato, and chopped onion to garnish. YUMMY!

Steak and Lima Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
For a family on budget, this is actually a pretty good recipe. It seemed a littel strange to me at first, but it turned out pretty darn good. I did season the steaks with pepper and garlic salt before I browned them. ALso, instead of adding water to teh steaks to cook, I used beef broth. I do think that they could cook for about 45 extra minutes...about 1 1/2 hours total.

Poor Man's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I have t say, this recipe was great. It makes a hearty dinner for four, four about $5! I did make a few changes. I used top round steak, because its cheaper. I also took the other suggestions about using beef broth instead of just water. Also, when I took the pan out of the oven, I used some flour to make a thicker gravy and served over mashed potatoes. YUMMY!

I have been making these for years. They are great. I also like to put a chunk of sharp cheddar in the jalapeno.

Feta Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Breasts

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
This always gets nothing but rave reviews at my house. The first time I made it, I accidentally used 2 tbsp of lemon juice, instead of 2 tsp. Good thing. It turned out delicious. The only suggestion I have is beating the chicken extra flat before rolling them. Makes the whole thing alot easier and less time consuming.

Kim's Chicken Dip

This is a quick and easy recipe. Although, I used roasted garlic steak sauce and added a little more than 2 tbsp. It goes well with Ritz crackers.

Sausage Balls

I really like sausage balls, but with this recipe, found that it was hard to get the mixture to stay together and form balls. I just slightly beat one egg, and added a tiny bit of milk, and they were great.

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
I have made this recipe two times. The first time, I used the exact recipe found here. It was good, but not everything described. The second time, I used 1 1/2 pounds of beef and seasoned it with pepper and garlic salt. I omitted the mushrooms, and added about 3 tbsp of beef broth. In my opion, the whole block of cream cheese was a little much, so I used about 3/4 of the block and it was fabulous. Everyone has been asking me to make it again.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2006
I have made this recipe two times. The first time, I followed the recipe exactly. It was good. The second time I used two cans of mixed veggies and 1 can of cream of chicken and one can of cream of potato. Otherwise, I think, the pot pie has way too much chicken flavor. Delicious!
