About this Cook
Hi, I'm a 24 year old Graphic Designer living just north of Boston in my hometown of Methuen, Massachusetts. I went to the University of Massachusetts where I recieved my bachelors degree in the Spring of 2005. Since then, I bought a house, got married and now I have an adorable little kitten named Johnny Cash! I really like to cook....my husband likes to eat. Its a win win situation. I like trying recipes I find on Allrecipes because I have a bad habit of making the same things again and again and allrecipes gives me great ideas I never would of thought of before.
My favorite things to cook
Italian, Rustic Dishes, Mexican and Seafood.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Unfortunatley, my family doesn't have any real cooking traditions. I have been trying to force a few on them since I've moved out on my own but hopefully int the future I can start nice traditions with my family.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumphs really aren't to amazing...I actually have started using the timer feature on my stove. That has resulted in much better baked goods... :-) One fabulous dish I concoted myself was a Spicy Chicken and Peanut Satay. That is probaly my best dish so far. 99% of the food i make is delish! And everyone always enjoys coming to my house for a meal. My neighbor said I should put in a "walk through" window in our kitchen so people can walk by and pick up some food.

Challah
This recipe was fairly quick and easier to follow than other Challah recipes I have found. It didn't taste like a traditional Challah. The sugar in it was barely noticeable once baked. It tasted like a very dense white bread. It still was very good and looked beautiful. Just not "sweet" enough for my Challah tastes.
