Apricot Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
I would have given this 2.5 stars if I could. The flavor was ok, but the sauce came out sooooo soupy. It did not look like the picture at all, it was very very thin. I don't know what went wrong, but it did not look very appetizing, and wasn't a nice thick sauce. Not too good.

Spanish Chicken

Used chicken broth instead of the water and boullion and left out the cumin because i didn't have it. This turned out really tasty. Good recipe. Thanks!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
I thought this was pretty good. . It was nice and tender. The flavor was pretty good, although the wine taste really stood out--maybe a tiny bit too much. I added sauteed onions and mushrooms over the sauce. It's a good recipe, although i can't honestly say it's the very most delicious thing i've ever tasted.

Hamburger Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
Great recipe with a few alterations: I added 4 cloves of garlic, some basil, and some frozen corn. Used one can tomato soup, one can cream of mushroom. I greased the bottom of baking dish and put frozen crispy crowns (tator tots) on the bottom of the dish. Used instant mashed potatoes for the top. Brother liked it. Thanks for the recipe!

Sunny's Creamy Chicken Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
This recipe is so easy and very tasty. The chicken flavor and pork mixed together well. I added an extra 2 cloves of garlic. My "gravy" came out pretty thin--more like a broth, but the flavor was still good. I would also recommend simmering on low at the end for as long as you can to make sure the meat is tender. I did this, and it was very tender and moist.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
Good recipe! I used 1.5 lb ground beef and just added a tiny bit of milk. Used water and beef boulion instead of beef broth. There wasn't enough gravy, so I added a can of chicken gravy (didn't have any beef). Added mushrooms and ate it with rice. =)

Pork Chops with Garden Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
This is a pretty tasty meal. I only had two pork chops left, so did half pork chops and half chicken. The pork chops were fairly tender. I just wish they would have soaked up the flavor and been a tiny bit more juicy. But still a good dish overall.

Pork Chops O'Brien

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
The flavor of the dish is great, and it's really easy to make. The only thing that could make it a little bit better is if the chops were a little more tender. They weren't hard, but they weren't super moist and tender either. Still good though.

Salsafied Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
This was really good! I threw in a can of black beans (drained) and instead of cooking the rice with the dish, I just poured it over white rice. Nice recipe.

Mom's Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
I thought this recipe was edible, but nothing great, and I probably won't be making again. I subbed a can of carrots for one of the cans of green beans. I added garlic & onions, and even added some butter to the mashed potatoes, but it still tasted kind of plain or something.

Easy Cheesy Skillet Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
I added some extras to the recipe and it turned out great! I actually used a mixture of shredded Cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese, regular nonfat milk instead of evaporated and added some green onions and precooked bacon pieces at the end. Great recipe!

One Skillet Pork Supper

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
This didn't taste bad, but it was just very bland--Even after adding onions, garlic, italian seasoning, and extra salt and pepper. The meat was semi-tender, but did not soak up any flavoring. Probably won't make again.

Excellent recipe! Substituted garlic salt instead of onion powder, and it tasted great.

Chicken Continental

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2006
Very easy recipe and it tastes really good! I used regular rice instead of instant rice and substituted chicken broth for the water. The mushrooms are really good, but I've made this dish before without them because I didn't have any, and it still tasted good. Thanks for the recipe!

Hackin Chicken

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
The easiet recipe one could ask for and pretty good and nice-looking too. I wasn't expecting it to be, but it actually came out very tender and moist. It's not BURSTING with flavor, but the flavor is pretty good and if you spoon the extra sauce over the chicken after it's baked, it helps. I'll make this again.
