Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
Not the best I've ever had, but still an excellent cookie. Cant say I wont still be trying other recipes out, but I'd make this one again. I only had salted butter on hand, didnt seem to make a difference- although i did cut down on the salt called for in the recipe.

This was great! My ice hand didnt turn out so well as ALL the fingers broke off, but I put the fingers in the bowl and it actually looked like bones- creepy! Very tasty punch and was a big hit for Halloween dinner!

Neiman Marcus Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
This was great- Although maybe on the "too sweet and too rich side" if that's even possible. Its definitely different, a recipe I'd try again. Made it as recipe states and it was really gooD-more like a bar recipe. P.S. Had the leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for several days and it was even better!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
NOT proud to admit this, but I started eating it before it was done and couldnt stop!! Having never made caramel popcorn before, and not being a huge caramel popcorn freak, I had somewhat low expectations, but the reviews made me curious. Not only did I have a bit of burned popcorn, and I added the baking soda and the vanilla BEFORE the boiling process- so I fouled it up a bit, and it still came out AMAZING!! Reminds me of the gourmet candy and ice cream shops I used to visit as a kid. DH is another not-so-huge-fan of caramel popcorn, but he too could not stop eating it. I am 100% sure I'll be making this again-most likely very soon!! I dont know if I should say "Thanks for a great recipe" or "Boo! you've made me an addict" Easy, not too expensive to make and amazing!! Go for it!

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
Some tips Ive found that perfect the grilled cheese. Use REAL butter. Not margarine, not spray, nothing else. Sour Dough sliced bread is to die for on grilled cheese. dont cook too high, or it will burn for sure.

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
Definitely a GREAT recipe. The first batch I used 2 eggs and no baking powder and 3/4 c cocoa. GREAT perfect consistancy, but maybe too much chocolate. The second batch, I omitted 1 egg and the baking powder again and it was perfect. The recipe is easy, quick and doubles nicely.

This was just okay for us. My husband wanted a lot more sauce to it, thought it was dry. Might make again tweaking it a little more.

Fast English Muffin Pizzas

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2007
My 5 year old loves making these- something she can do pretty much on her own ( other than the cooking part) Adding additional toppings of you choice makes this a family hit! We also used flour tortillas for a different choice and it was great. The more toppings you have, obviously the better. We had cheese, sauce, pepperoni, canadian bacon, peppers, olives, onions, tomatoes, and I think that was it. my husband loved it as well. We had it twice in one week!

I was SHOCKED at how good this was for something so easy. I was sure I be angrily dumping all the wasted ingredients. I'd add no suggestions but to follow the recipe...worked perfectly.

Peanut Butter Bon-Bons

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
I made these for my brother and I ended up making 'logs' out of them. we had a GREAT laugh out of them as they looked a lot like dog turds- thats only how I made them thr first time. Next time around I made regualr balls. But man alive are they good! They freeze really well too and are great room temp or chilled.

Fruit Dip I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
Served this at a shower and the guests raved about it. I was afraid I was going to run out. SInce then, I've shared the recipe many times. Could not be any easier and any more popular. I served with fruit kabobs, cantaloupe, strawberries and pineapple chunks...but I think any fruit would do.

Quick Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
I really liked this recipe- it was quick and easy. I had limited sugar on hand, so it was a perfect recipe for what I was looking for. My Husband and daughter didnt care for it...maybe not sweet enough? The one complaint I'd have is that it was really messy- fell apart easily, compared to some others I've made. I'd make it again, at least for myself!
