Definitely a Keeper. Considering the meal, it was surprisingly easy and fast to make. I made during the afternoon and stored in fridge until dinner. It was a hit!

Mac and Cheese II

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
I had high expectations of this recipe and while I followed it exactly, it was extremely bland and tasteless. After adding some seasoned bread crumbs, a LOT of extra cheese, quite a few seasonings, salt, it was a lot better. I will say though that it was really creamy!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

My family loved this and inhaled it. In my book, that's a success! Prep took a lot of time, but the end result was worth it. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Sauerkraut and Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
I have to start off by saying I hate saurkraut and the smell of it. What was I thinking?! Serves me right. My husband loved this, but thought there was too much saurkraut in it. I think its a great recipe, but I dont know that I'll make it again becuase I don't care for the smell...but that's just me.

Slow Cooker Manly Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
I used a little less than the 3 full pounds of beef as my husband loves things with lots of gravy/sauce. Other than that, followed recipe and it was a big hit! Definitely a keeper.

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
My husband loved this! I was thinking it would be like beef floating around in butter, but quite the contrary, served with rice or noodles, this was a huge hit! And it literally took like 3 minutes to prepare in the crock pot in the morning. Definitely a keeper.

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
What a great idea!! I added more cheese and bacon becuase I love both. These were a huge hit at my party and I will definitely be making these again!! UPDATE: I was using store bought bacon pieces for awhile and it worked fine. I now use bits of turkey bacon and it's great. I've made these at countless parties and events...they disappear so incredibly fast. I've also used this as a base as an 'egg salad' type dish to spread on crackers and whatnot. Also a success. Cant go wrong with this one!

Hot Spiced Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Big hit at the party and lots left over( I made a LOT) so I'm still enjoying it. This was a great and easy recipe. Was way too skeptical to try in the coffee pot, so I made in the crockpot with all spices in the coffee filter tied with a rubber band. Worked great. Will definitely make again, party or no party, its a keeper. p.s. added a touch of rum and re-heated after party was over for a nice hot spiked drink. Quite nice.

Dill Dip III

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
I had to give this only 4 stars as it was not a huge hit at the party I served it at. People who ate it really liked it, but it wasnt irresistable. I would make it again though, as people really did like it.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
This was just "ok" for me. I like that its creamy, but I needed to add some sharp cheddar and seasoned salt to give it some zazz. Pretty good over nachos.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
This was a good bread. Not the best I've had out of my machine, but still good. Seemed rather plain or something, like bread you'd get out of a bag. I made exactly as is and its basically fool proof, so its easy to come out with a great loaf of bread. I'd make again.

I did a couple of substitutions with this- I used Cream of Chicken soup and Cheese soup only. It turned out great. One of my family's favorite easy meals!
